She was an inspiration and I am a better person because of her insight and dedication to her profession. I recommend her services to everyone.
Completing a family trust during a pandemic seemed a bit daunting, but Karen and her staff made it simple. We could not meet in person but via telephone and email all the necessary paperwork and detailed instructions were sent to me. I was able to complete all in my own time and schedule. They made it easy and I would highly recommend them!
I came into contact with Karen after my divorce. My ex-husband left me with a ton of debt that after two years of trying to handle on my own I just couldn't handle anymore. I had no idea where to go what to do, and with the way I was raised I was extremely embarrassed. I went in for my consultation at which time i was made to feel like I was any other person and had no reason to be embarrassed. I was made to feel very comfortable and I left feeling extremely confident. I was very well taken care of. So I hired Karen. She had great client education she was there with me every step of the way. Phone calls, e-mails, any correspondence was usually gotten back to within 24 to 48 hours. Since then I have sent two other people to her and if anybody brings it up I actually would recommend her again.
I met With Karen October 31, 2014 and I came away from that meeting knowing I was dealing with a true professional. I was assigned a "homework packet" and Karen personally reviewed with me every page of the 60-page document. As a former para-legal I could see her office is run like a well-oiled machine. Karen and her staff gave me personal attention and I came away with a clear idea of the bankruptcy process.
After dealing with an incompetent lawyer in a different state on a chapter 13. Karen was able to help us solve the issue and she went after the other lawyer for his incompetence with excellent results. My wife and i felt she was very helpful in resolving our legal issue and kept us well informed in recovering from our past issue. We would use her services again and have mentioned her name and office to others looking for a qualified attorney. Thank you Karen for helping us.
Karen helped me through a divorce twelve years ago. She did exactly what I asked . When Karen could not gives me an immediate answer she did the research to find the correct wording etc. I found Karen pleasant to work with before and after the process was over. She was positive and knowledgeable in all of her proceedings.
Karen was very easy to work with. Professional when needed and financial coach when that was appropriate. Her staff was friendly and ethical when handling my inquiries. I would recommend Karen to assist you in solving your financial problems.
The first lawyer I went to made a mess of my chapter 7 paperwork and filed everything incorrectly. He spent a total of 20 minutes with me as a consultation and then met me at the court for my hearing. After the hearing the court wrote a letter to my lawyer saying that I needed to provide more documentation but he didn't know what to do. That's when I found Karen. She helped immensely! She dealt with the court for months trying to get them to understand my particular situation and the end I did end up filing chapter 13. She was patient with me and helped me understand the severity of the situation and the amount of money it would cost to fight further. Two years later when I lost my job due to illness she helped me filed for Chapter 7. I'm so thankful to Karen and all the care and consideration she took with me. It was a very difficult and stressful time in my life and I appreciate what she did very much.
Ms. Oakes was extremely helpful during my stressful legal process, explaining each step along the way. Articulate yet sympathetic, she maintained a high level of professionalism throughout the time we worked together. Ms. Oakes' demeanor was courteous and competent, and I felt she advised me well and in my best interest. I found her to be honest and forthright. I have recommended her to several people and would definitely seek her services in future legal matters.
Due to Karen's expertise and knowledge regarding bankruptcy, my Chapter 13 was handled promptly and smoothly. Payments to the trustee are manageable, I'm able to pay the remaining bills, buy groceries, fuel, etc., and still have a little left over for emergencies, incidentals, etc. She and her staff answered all of my questions without hesitation and guided me through the whole process. If bankruptcy may be a possibility for you, I would highly recommend that you meet with Karen, explain your situation so she can advise accordingly, such as whether bankruptcy will really help in your situation, which type of bankruptcy is best, and then a thorough explanation of the complete process and what to expect during the process. Thanks Karen!
