About
Karen “Kacey” Robins Carnegie is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia. She graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law, cum laude, in May 2008, after receiving her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in Sociology and Business Administration in 2004 from LongwoodUniversity. Kacey is a 2001 graduate of Deep Creek High School. In 2012, Kacey decided that she was ready to fulfill her lifelong dream of opening a law practice in the community where she grew up, Deep Creek. Kacey’s practice is primarily in the areas of commercial and residential landlord/tenant law, business and corporate law, contract law, wills, trusts and the probate of estates, elder law, family law, personal injury and general litigation. Kacey serves her community as a member of the Deep Creek Ruritan Club and as a member of Alliance Christian Church. She is a member of the Virginia Young Lawyer’s Division of the Virginia State Bar. Kacey has given numerous presentations to the Virginia Housing Development Authority’s First Time Home buyers Course on the Loan Closing Process and has presented multiple seminars on the legal aspects of owning a small business and the probate process. She has also served as a member of the faculty for continuing legal education courses regarding landlord tenant law. Finally, Kacey is an adjunct professor in the Paralegal Department at Bryant and Stratton College in Virginia Beach and has taught courses for the Paralegal Knowledge Institute. Kacey is married to Adam Carnegie. The couple currently resides in Chesapeake, Virginia with their miniature rat terrier, Chicken.
