Marie is a civil law attorney whose practice includes nonprofit law, business, contracts, probate, wills and trusts, guardianships and conservatorships, real property, and general civil litigation.Marie earned her Juris Doctor degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia, PA where she earned a full-tuition academic scholarship. Marie has garnered experience working with various environmental groups including the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the Southern Environmental Law Center, and the Delaware Riverkeeper Network. She interned with the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, conducting preliminary hearings and trials in Municipal Court. She worked with Honorable Leonard G. Brown III., in the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas in Lancaster, PA and traveled to Charleston, SC where she worked with Charleston Pro Bono Services, providing civil services for low-income clients in Charleston County.While serving on the Temple Law Review, Marie's article "Revived Authority In Article I, Section 27 Of The Pennsylvania Constitution: The Commonwealth’s New Affirmative Duty To Protect The Atmosphere" was selected for publication and appeared in The Temple Law Review, Vol. 91.Marie is actively involved in the community as a member of the Steering Committee for the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition and a member of the Board of Directors of Heartland Humane Society. When Marie is not working or volunteering, she reads, spends time with family and friends, and hikes in the Pacific Northwest.
