If you are looking for an attorney that is going to tell you what you want to hear all the time, than don’t pick this attorney. My experience with Julie Weinberger has been excellent. She has been there when I needed her to be. She has applied pressure to the other side at the right times and with the correct force. In my opinion, her number one asset is her 30 years of experience. When I started to search for an attorney to hire, I noticed every single one was willing to represent me. In today’s world there are a ton of attorneys to choose from and most of them will be able to interpret the law for you in laymen’s terms. Yet, getting the information in laymen’s terms is just the commencement. It is paramount that your attorney be able to use that information in conjunction with real life court experiences. To put it in a nutshell: you can’t put a price on 30 years of experience. I would definitely recommend Julie Weinberger to any of my friends and family.

I hired Julie for my divorce, but after repeated issues, I decided to fire her. She had memory problems swearing we'd never discussed something that we talked about at length two days before. Very hard to get appointments. Very slow. Doesn't use a computer at all. (When I used her around 2013, she literally had her staff print her emails and put them in a stack on her desk!). You can imagine how these cause things to slip through the cracks, communication errors, dropping the ball on issues, etc).

The initial conference was wonderful, she is a good talker, but never followed thru with filing Motions, letters and etc like she said she would, No lie it would takes her several weeks to send letters and Motions to the other side, everytime I had appointment with Julie I had to refresh her memory about my case and of course I would get charged for her time, I caught her billing to be false many times, as I know she didn't review some of the discovery until I questioned her about it. I would have to call to check on the status of my case, and was always told something different by her assistants, I know it wasn't there fault, her assistants I believe tried to help me to deal with my case and keep me as a client at the office, I received more calls back from them then the Attorney, Julie just showed no interest in my case, I was upset many times when I did see her about my case and she showed no feelings. She had the file so unorganized at times she couldn't find anything, she always had to call her assistant to help find something, which the staff was always right there and knew where it was, it's Julie job to know also, her office was is always mess with other client's files all over the her desk, all along the floor and people's names just out there which is not professional. She would talk about other cases and about her daughter being a lawyer during my time with her (I'm sure as a Mother she was very proud, however I don't care), I would get charged for that time again. I paid my bill everytime and most times put a credit towards my account, I made the decision to hire a new attorney and even when I told the staff, Julie never called to speak with me to make it right or take the blame. She is out of the office a lot and just to have a phone conference usually takes 1 1/2 weeks, appointments were even worse and then finally had time with her and she would rush me off the phone, and yes I did have a cell number, but what's the point she never answered. I feel she is just tired of doing this and that's ok then retire.

Best part of her service was the consultation. From then on its been a nightmare. Which led me to represent myself, damages was done that the next attorney I hired couldn't fix.

I hired Mrs. Weinberger when her AVVO rating was higher. She's been a divorce lawyer for many years and I suspect she may have been a good lawyer at one time, but I cannot recommend her based on my experience. In fact, I ultimately had to fire her and hire a new attorney after repeated problems. For example, it's 2013 but from my experience and what she's told me, she never touches a computer and cannot modify a legal document without reading it and dictating changes to her staff, which slows her efficiency. E-mails sent are all printed and kept in paper files forcing her to shuffle through countless pages if she reads them at all. I feel this increases costs to the client and introduces more chance for error. The fact she did not even have a website should have been my first clue. Worse, she billed her staff's time at the same rate as her own time which most attorney's do not do from my experience. Mrs. Weinberger rarely responded to my emails which was frustrating. Her staff would occasionally reply but most often my questions were met with silence or "we will let Julie know." I would then rarely hear anything back. I found my case and questions were ignored for weeks unless I scheduled well in advance a weekly meeting or conference call with her to repeatedly list out action points she should be doing. When I complained about her lack of responsiveness, I would not receive an apology, nor did her or her staff seem to care. There was this "take it or leave it" mentality in my opinion. The final straw though was I would discuss a matter in detail with Ms. Weinberger and just days later she would act like we never had the conversation or had not discussed the matter before. At first I thought she was just very busy. However, this happened over and over. Her memory and communication issues were such that I became convinced it was undermining her ability to be effective in my case. It was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with an attorney.
