About
Brennan is a creative problem solver who handles every kind of criminal case from speeding tickets and DWI to capital murder and criminal appeals. He knows that every case requires a unique approach to find the best way to protect his clients. Brennan knows that sometimes you win a case with a hammer and sometimes you need a softer approach. He has tried over a hundred criminal bench trials and dozens of jury trials. He often focuses his practice on clients facing drug trafficking, embezzlement, theft, possession of firearm by a felon, and driving while impaired offenses. Before private practice, he began his career as a Guilford County Assistant Public Defender in 2012, fighting for clients who often face both racial and socioeconomic barriers to equal access to justice. Before opening his own firm with Julie, Brennan worked at the law firm of Garrett, Walker, Aycoth, & Olson. When he isn’t at the office, Brennan spends time with his wife cooking New Orleans food, and trying (poorly) to play blues guitar with his Great Dane mix, Louis.

Mr.Aberle got the case dismissed and he was compassionate and understanding of my case. He believed in me and got the case dismissed thus saving my career ! I am more than grateful ! Highly recommend!
I retained Brennan In oct 2019 for a DWI charge that charge after 5 or 6 continuances was settled in court with a not guilty verdict in amounts to about a year and a half time frame. Brennan stayed with us and perused throughout the process. He continues to help us with the DMV. I was impressed with Brennan's skills in the court room and presenting our case also dealing with the claims made by the ADA. If you are looking for someone who knows their way around Guilford county court I highly recommend Brennan Aberle.
We (my son and I) approached Mr. Aberle in the last minutes of a very difficult matter that unfortunately we felt was not handled well to my desire by the prior attorneys. It was a last ditch effort before we gave in. We had previously hired 2 (and consulted a handful more) previous attorneys and my son’s case was in superior court. The criminal matter brought to by the state meant a lot to as it was being used against my son in custody battle for my grandson. We were fighting the state for the future of my son and also the future of our grandson. He, Brennan (as he tells you to refer to him) clearly understood that. That meant a lot to us because his approach to my case carefully factored that in. He even worked with our family attorney to make sure we did not miss anything. He was not afraid of going to trial, in fact, after reviewing all the options with us, as difficult of a trial it would be, he respected our decision and went to work to help us. He left no stone unturned. His hard work felt like a breath of fresh air. In our mind, we had no doubt whatever the outcome/judgement/verdict would be, he had put the best fight for us. The jury, agreed and we got a unanimous verdict in our favor. He won, we won, my son won and most importantly our grandson won. Mr. Aberle is honest (he will not promise what he cannot deliver), he knows his stuff very well and explains it to you in an easy to understand way, he works hard, meaning we had peace of mind and helped jog my son’s memory, the case was an year old. He cares! Something that we previously missed. He is humble, he did not pick a fight with the police, and in fact he respected their job and highlighted the facts of their contribution in the case in respectful but powerful manner which I think worked to our favor. That made the states/prosecution case very uncomfortable. I could go on and on, but all I am trying to say, he brought life to a case that we thought was done and dead.
