About
Prior to entering the legal field, Julie worked as an advocate for children of abuse and neglect. Her experience as a foster care case manager sets her apart from other attorneys and provides her with unique knowledge and insight in her role as attorney. She often draws on her social work experience to address and resolve the difficult situations faced by her clients today. Julie received her bachelor of science in child development with honors from Michigan State University and her juris doctor degree from Wayne State University. While attending Wayne State University, she served as a student attorney at the Free Legal Aid Clinic in Detroit and as a student intern for the Honorable Gerald R. Rosen, United States District Court - Eastern Division of Michigan. Julie entered the legal field in 2001 as a legal assistant working for a firm practicing in estate planning, business law, bankruptcy, real estate and general civil litigation. From there, she moved to an insurance defense firm, working primarily on municipal defense, such as police excessive force cases. She then worked for a firm practicing business law, probate and estate planning. The experience she gained in working at these firms, together with her education and social work experience, equipped Julie with the expertise needed to develop her own practice serving clients in probate, estate planning and business law.

Julie was just what I needed at a difficult time. She was honest and very forthcoming about my situation. She helped me navigate through it. Then I hired her again for my estate planning. She has always been kind and helpful, I would recommend her happily to others.
Julie has given me legal advice for estate planning that was very helpful. Additionally, a colleague of mine was in a desperate legal situation with his family and Julie jumped in to help...visiting them at the hospital and making sure their paperwork was in order.
We hired Julie to help us with Estate Planning. She was very kind and helpful in guiding us in making important decisions regarding our family's future; asset assessment, guardianship of our children, etc. She was professional and delivered the documents in a timely manner. I continue to recommend her to friends and family.
I had a consult with Julie last year. She was very helpful, and I would have hired her if she was licensed in my state. She helped me find an attorney who is licensed in my state, and her recommendations were the same as Julie had outlined in our meeting. The free consultation was very nice, and she answered all of my questions.
Julie was very helpful in giving me her legal and personal view of my probate case, and though the case itself dragged on much longer than I anticipated, she helped the whole time, giving me the cost estimates, hypothetical situation responses I asked for, and kept track of all the legal paperwork that needed to be filed. She also kept me up to date on all of the "surprises" the other party tossed at me through extra petitions, etc. While I'm an overly detailed person myself, I thought she did a good job of keeping the pertinent details to the case at hand, and in her notes, and used them to reveal the truth of the case as appropriate in court.
