Julia made an extremely difficult and emotional process as smooth as possible. She was prepared and facilitated our two sessions with compassion and an open mind. Julia presented topics we had to discuss and come to terms with, which made the time so worth it. Julia prepared all necessary paperwork and we simply had to sign where she told us to! While I never wish divorce on anyone...if you have to go through the ordeal I highly recommend Julia.
We chose Julia because of the amazing reviews we had read, and she did not disappoint. She was attentive, friendly, and patient as she helped us work through our separation agreement. I very much appreciated her ability to explain things to us in simple terms, help us understand the "norm", and her willingness to support us when we chose to do things a bit outside the box. She uses a sliding scale, which seems just and equitable and, even though we were at the high end of that scale, she ended up being much cheaper than the other mediators we met with in the Boston area. I strongly recommend!
Julia was extremely knowledgeable, patient and responsive. Her professionalism and demeanor are exactly what a couple going through this need ... attentive, direct but empathetic and manages the process at your pace. If yours is a situation where mediation is a possibility, I recommend Julia and her team wholeheartedly. You will also have the benefit of a more cost-effective option that provides the desired outcome.
My ex-husband and I sought Julia's services after she was referred to us by a friend who is also a lawyer. We knew we wanted to divorce and knew we wanted to do so as amicably as possible, but we had some sticking points and really needed help sorting out our family home, his business, a custody agreement, and child support. Julia was efficient, extremely knowledgable, and made sur that both parties felt heard. She guided us every step of the way and made sure that no stone was left unturned. Without her help and the final product of our separation agreement I know that my ex and I would have had many disagreements and hardships. Her help and the agreement paved the way for a low-stress divorce and a co-parenting plan that is still serving us well nearly 8 years later.
I contacted Julia after reading an article she wrote on her website where she provided clear and comprehensive information that explained critical factors to be considered (and often overlooked) when negotiating pension benefits from an ex-spouse. I was very impressed that she and her staff took the time to dive into the details of my unique situation. She did this knowing that she couldn’t represent me, as I live in a state that she does not practice in. She is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. As a results of her attention to detail, she gave me the best advice and now I can breathe a sigh of relief knowing just how to move forward in resolving the problem directly.
Julia *got* all of what we needed so clearly, replied quickly to inquiries, and was accessible and personable even as she kept things efficient and professional. In our case, she was cleaning up after a frustratingly slow and error-ridden mediation experience elsewhere, and it was a tremendous relief to finally feel confident about our separation agreement and other documents. All this, plus seeing us virtually during a personal/family hiatus. Just wonderful!
Julia was very professional, knowledgeable, time-efficient and prepared, which was a huge relief considering all the paperwork and data I had previously tried to sort through on my own. I appreciated her no-nonsense, yet compassionate approach to keeping us on track and making sure we had everything we needed.
Julia made a hard process easier to deal with. She helped us come up with a clear parenting plan on behalf of our daughter which was very important to the both of us. She was clear, direct, and wrote us a very clear and detailed agreement. I highly recommend her.
Julia was an excellent attorney to handle out divorce mediation. She took the time to help us work through our differences with the separation agreement. She listened attentively and was quick to respond to emails.
What Julia Rueschemeyer brings to the table: years of experience; the capacity to have both partners, male and female both, feel heard, understood, validated; a deep understanding of the legal system; holding a space of sympathy and efficiency both. She is in the work to help others; one feels this deeply. Not only does she make what could be an onerous process affordable, but she helps create a safe environment where each party, in one of the most difficult life passages, feels that particular needs and goals will be met. She does honor to her work and the profession both: I've already recommended her to many. Without her, we would not have ended up in the harmonious place we have.
