My wife and I have been avoiding the estate planning process for a long time, mainly because it requires thinking about difficult questions and unpleasant possibilities. Julia was able to teach us about all the options before helping us to choose which was right for us. We ultimately decided to set up a trust, and she was able to answer all of our questions about both wills and trusts before we made that decision. Julia has an easy and patient manner and helped us navigate the uncomfortable topics with a grace that I would dare say is not common among all estate planning attorneys. She provided us with documentation that is organized and easy to understand, and which we can consider a living document; as our family grows and changes, so can our trust. We will most certainly be returning to Julia for assistance when that need arises.
I thought I could do a simple estate plan myself with the help of some top rated software. However, after several hours of research I was not confident in the results. A friend highly recommended Kellogg & Palzer, so we got in contact with Julia there. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and a joy to work with. She had so many great ideas that we never would have thought of. We were extremely pleased and confident with the results. We highly recommend her.
Julia did an amazing job on my estate plan. Before we met in person she sent me a planning document to help me prepare. When we met she brought up things that I really hadn’t thought about to make sure they were included to my wishes and expectations. On signing day, we once again went through everything to ensure that my plan was accurate and complete. I had put this off for sometime and I’m so glad to have it done in a quick and easy way.
Julia is wonderful! She helped me take care of my late husband's estate through probate as well as drafting a new will for myself. It was a hard time for me and Julia was extremely kind and compassionate throughout the whole process. Her office uses a program called MyCase which is very helpful when dealing with large amounts of paperwork. I could upload everything into the program and Julia took care of all of it. I never once felt overwhelmed with massive amounts of paperwork I didn't understand. I highly recommend her for any estate planning!
JULIA was very professional and knowledgeable. She was extremely helpful and patient as we worked through developing our first will and estate plan. I would very highly recommend JULIA for these services.
I hired Julia and her husband to help me put a will together and wow I am happy I found them! I'm a divorced mom of two young kids and had no idea where to start when it came to writing a will - not to mention it's a scary thought! I've been putting it off for years, but was fortunate enough to meet Julia through a networking function and hit it off with her immediately. They made the entire process EASY and thought of so many potential pitfalls with my ex-husband that never would have dawned on me! The entire process took about two hours over the course of two meetings and I was delivered a three ring binder with everything I need including a thumb drive to put in my safety deposit box. I cannot say enough about Jeff and Julia, they took the "scary" out of my will and final wishes and I'm blessed to have found them.
Julia and her firm handled a claim for me where I was injured because of someone else's mistake. I suffered damages and hospital bills! They took care of everything and she made sure I was always in the loop and happy with what we were doing! I thought it was going to be high drama and was sick about the whole ordeal but she really did make it so easy for me! Highly recommend her!!
My husband and I came to Kellogg & Palzer to have our estate plan drawn up for the first time. In nearly 13 years of marriage, we felt in was finally time to get our wishes in order in case the worst should ever happen - especially now that we are parents. Julia and her colleague/husband, Jeff Palzer, were more than patient, kind, and thorough in answering even the most asinine of questions coming from us non-lawyers; most importantly, they never once made us feel like we ever asked a stupid question or had a silly concern. My husband and I believe that Julia truly cares about us as clients, and cares that we feel comfortable with our estate plan. She also made a point to ensure that we understood that, as her clients, estate-planning isn't just a one-time thing where the process and attorney/client relationship ends with the final draft of the plan; on the contrary, she explained to us that our plans will change as our lives change, and that her door is open anytime we need to alter our documents. If you are looking for an attorney who is careful, knowledgable, trustworthy and a pleasure to work with, I strongly encourage you to consider Julia K. Palzer. You will not be sorry!
