About
Hello,I fight for all of my clients as if they were family, and I am proud to say that other lawyers from all over San Diego County have hired me for themselves and for their family members. One of the things that I believe sets our firm apart is that we go through a cost/benefit analysis of each case, and even major case turning point decisions - with the client, and involve the client in that key strategic bird's-eye analysis. We feel some attorneys can lose that "big picture" perspective, and while they pursue a set of theoretical ethical standards, their clients are ultimately harmed by their cognitive inflexibility. Another aspect of our firm that we strive to keep is our small firm/fast paced culture. Our team is close-knit - a family if you will. We know each other's families and we push one another to achieve top honors in every aspect of our lives. Inside the firm we put 100% into staying current with legal issues, determining our clients' objectives and achieveing them, and developing a personal connection with our clients as we are trusted with their children, their savings, sometimes even their freedom. Outside the firm we pursue martial arts, surfing, and hot yoga among other activities. Our lives are balanced and our work product is premium. While I could wax proflific about our firm's character for pages, I will spare you the diatribe and invite you to...come check us out! We look forward to meeting you. Best,Joshua Hershon

Josh Hershon got my speeding ticket dismissed, saved me hundreds of dollars in court fees, and helped me avoid car insurance rate increases since I wasn't eligible for traffic school. Many thanks to Josh for his expert assistance!
Joshua Hershon has been a great help to me in legal matters regarding custody issues with my child. He has always been available to offer legal advice and suggestions on legal courses of action. I could expect a quick response to my emails or phone calls and he was very reasonable and accommodating in making a payment plan that worked for my financial situation. I cant stress enough how great it was to be able to go to court and feel that I have a lawyer that genuinely cares about my case and will fight for my rights as a parent. I will definitely use the services of Mr. Hershon's again for family law matters.

Josh is a very passionate and understanding attorney. He has a well rounded knowledge of the law and does not hesitate to consult with his partners and or colleagues if circumstances fall outside his circle or expertise.
Josh was always readily available to answer questions and address concerns, even after hours. If he wasn't certain about the answer he was honest, and assured us that he would consult with collegues to find out.
Joshua is a real hands on attorney. Kept me informed on a number of matters that he worked on for me. His billing has been more than fair and he always go above and beyond what I expected. I would most certainly recommend Mr. Hershon on any legal matter that may come up. I plan to seek his advice in the future.
Joshua and his team gave me a fresh start on my life after I fell into trouble in the downturned economy. Joshua's office really cared for me and was very reponsive to my questions and unique issues. Despite some tough questions from the trustee, Joshua kept after it until I was able to start anew - debt free! I highly recommend this office as they are courteous, professional, and caring.
I want to say thank you for providing the best legal consulting a client of yours could have. The results in my case showed true justice. I would recommend your legal services to anyone that was in my situation. Thanks again! Judgment in ther mail...
I am a US Marine with a number of children by an ex-wife. Josh Hershon has worked for my family for nearly two years. He has won restraining orders for my family, modification of such orders, child support hearings, and custody hearings. We've been to court half a dozen times and Josh has kept us undefeated. He recently won a move-away order for me and the kids and as usual he was efficient and effective.
Mr. Hershon was on the list to accept UCSD legal insurance so I contacted him to see if he would be willing to take my stepparent adoption case. Called twice, waited 3 days, called again and finally got him. We were on the phone for about 5 minutes and he said he was in the middle of something and it would be best to email him more information on the case. I emailed everything within 15 minutes and waited for a response acknowledging that the email was received. I waited 2 week days, through the weekend and finally emailed Monday night (labor day) to see if Mr. Hershon decided to take my case thinking he would respond Tuesday morning. Got an email 10 minutes later implying that I was being impatient and it'd been only 2 weekdays and the other three days were "weekend and holiday btw" with nothing else clueing me in on the timeline of things. From there we began exchanging some emails and I am completely struggling to figure out the details. (keeping in mind that we have not discuss my case beyond our initial rushed 5 minute phone call) Without disclosing content one can imagine how much information Mr. Hershon provided to me: Email #1: 1 line Email #2: 7 lines (my longest email from him) Email #3: 2 lines Email #4: 1 line Email #5: 3 lines When I inquired about the timeline, how likely we are to win the case (because it will be contested) and how much court fees may total to Mr. Hershon responded by bringing up how my legal insurance was paying him an "economical flat fee" and he had already "spent hours receiving the facts, conferring via phone and email etc" and "can't afford to take my case if I plan on writing emails with multiple questions everyday." Why was I "conversely inquiring about fees when the larger (by far) expenses - legal fees are already covered." I've written Mr. Hershon 6 emails in total counting the initial contact email! You know what could have solved this? An in person consultation... Mr. Hershon: If my legal insurance pays you a fee that's too "economical" than you should ask to be taken off the provider's list. No client deserves a lecture about how much their services are discounted. Every client deserves to know an estimate timeline, estimated cost and what to expect. You have been very unprofessional and contrary to what you think- you've wasted my time.
