Martin Stuart is a partner at McDermott Stuart & Ward LLP where he focuses his legal practice on Colorado criminal defense. He brings nearly two decades of expertise in criminal defense to every case that he works on. Martin gained tremendous experience in criminal law working as a Colorado State Public Defender before entering private practice. He has tried nearly 100 jury trials over the course of his career related to crimes ranging in seriousness and type. At McDermott Stuart & Ward LLP, Martin represents individuals and corporate entities that are under investigation or charged with a crime. His Colorado criminal law practice includes state and federal felonies, fraud, white-collar crimes, drug crimes, sex crimes, as well as homicide and other violent crimes.Martin Stuart is a leader in the Denver legal community and is a former President of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar Association. He was appointed to the Governor's Sentencing Commission's Task Force on Incarceration and is a member of the Criminal Justice Act Standing Committee for the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
