About
A native of Missouri, Josh attended Missouri State University (Southwest Missouri State University) where he earned his degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. Upon graduation, he was accepted into the nationally renowned law program at Washington University in St. Louis. However, he was not just another face in the crowd. While there, he was named the Myron Gollub Scholar and invited for induction into Who’s Who Among American Law Students. During his final year of law school, he was accepted into the school’s nationally recognized mock trial team where he studied trial skills under St. Louis City Judge David Mason. Due to his outstanding trials skills, he was named as a member of The Order of the Barristers.Throughout his career, he has devoted 100% of his time to fighting for injury victims. He does not, has not, and will not practice any other area of law. He credits this intense focus on injury law as the foundation which has led to his successes. In just the past five years alone, he has helped obtain more than $25 million in settlements and judgments. He regularly attends seminars around the country to discuss with other premier trial attorneys new litigation tactics.

I was in a crash, but not injured very badly, so i wasn't sure if it was worth it to actually hire a lawyer. A friend told me to call Josh at Schultz & Myers. I'm glad i did! Josh was willing to talk to me about the crash, but he told me that i'd ultimately get more money by handling the claim on my own. I think most lawyers would try to get as much money as possible by taking any little case, but it was very kind of him to tell me to do what was best for me. He even gave me some free advice! If (God forbid) Me or someone i know gets in a crash that does lead to more medical bills, i'll definitely be calling josh.
Josh represented me after I was hit from behind. He did an excellent job in preparing the case and putting the screws to the insurance company. He spent many hours with me preparing me for my deposition. I have actually worked at law firms in the past and most lawyers will just meet with you the hour for your depo. I felt Josh went above and beyond and ultimately settled the case for than I thought I would get.
I severely broke my leg at a hotel in Kansas City. The parking lot was extremely iced over. The hotel cleared off all the snow and ice at the lobby, but didn't do it for the parking lot in the back where you go to park after you have checked in. I wasn't even going to get a lawyer because the hotel people told me it was my fault for falling and there their insurance company was denying the claim. I decided to call a few different lawyers. Talking with Josh was unlike any of the others. Even as someone just calling in, he immediately took my phone call and was very personable and likeable. I did not hire him right away, but continued to think about. I kept calling back with questions and every time, he made time for me. Even though he was in St. Louis, I felt best with him. He immediately sent out investigators and tracked down the ambulance crew and got recorded statements from them about how bad the ice was. He then filed suit and proved that the company was just plowing the ice at the front for their workers and so people could come check in. But once the hotel got their money, they didn't care about making it safe for the customers. When I first started out, the insurance company offered $0. Ultimately, they paid a fair six-figure settlement. Josh did a wonderful job.
