Joe Saffi handled my real estate transaction with ease. He explained everything in detail in layman’s terms. He’s also a true gentleman. I highly recommend!
I was referred to Joseph Saffi when I purchased a home in Connecticut. I was advised he is the go-to guy for real estate in this area. We were involved in several deals which, for one reason or another did not go through. Joe was very helpful in tracking down information necessary to pursue all deals. He even asked some informative questions about a property we had put a bid in on which later had me realize I was getting into a bad deal. When we finally closed on our house, Joe was timely and professional, and very reasonably priced for all the work he did. Highly recommended.
Joe has done excellent work for me over the years for many real estate deals. He has great, timely communication, and is easy to get in touch with. He reviews the details and gets them right. Knows many local real estate agents and bankers and represents me well.
I have never met more incompetent people in my life. This office continually changed pricing on us through the closing process. Then we get a call a month and a half later stating that we owe extra money for taxes. Clearly they were just too lazy to check on what the taxes would actually be, and based it off of old numbers. So we sent them the check they asked for, and then i get a letter a week later stating I have to send the money to the town of New Milford now. The people Joe has working for him are absolutely incompetent, and its a JOKE. With so many real estate attorneys around I would use ANYONE else, and I fully plan to use someone else next time!
Saffi was on the approved attorney list for the bank. I had a lengthy discussion with him and he agreed to represent me for the condo I was buying. The seller's attorney sent the contract for review and he did not respond to me or the other attorney. When I contacted him he denied having spoken with me and stated he did not know who I was and had no way of contacting me. I suggested he could have gotten my contact info from the seller's attorney. He finally admitted he did not take notes when I spoke with him and he had forgotten about the matter. He wanted to finish the sale since he was the attorney of record. He received my condo re-sale package and did not even review the bylaws, just passed them along to me. I met with him on the day of closing and he said should not attend the closing, that he would handle it. I found out later that the closing was for a set time but he kept the sellers waiting 3 hours past the appointment.
