It is a huge relief to get your affairs in order and to know things are in place for your family. We appreciated Joe Morana's thoughtful approach. He thoroughly explained our choices and made what we thought was complicated and overwhelming very simple. This is a service that every family needs not just the very wealthy. I highly recommend Attorney Morana.

Joseph Morana is an incredibly thorough attorney whom I had the pleasure of dealing with some years ago. His methodical approach to Estate and Special Need Planning has helped me greatly and allowed me to survive a period of disability in a much better position. I find him personable, helpful, considerate, and empathetic. He really does not miss a thing, and I highly recommend him to anyone. My next step is to finalize a will and I look forward to sitting down with Joe and getting this done, and I know it will be done properly so I do not have to worry.

Joseph Morana is absolutely encyclopedic when it comes to estate planning. Any concerns my family and I had were addressed like he had dealt with them a hundred times before but with sensitivity, realizing that it was all new to us. I recommend without reservations.

I met Atty. Joseph Morana several years ago. I knew he worked with people who wanted to put their property into a trust. Originally I believed that trusts were meant for wealthy individuals who had huge stock portfolios, mansions, etc., which meant I did not need to think about a trust. After listening to Atty. Morana, I realized I was mistaken, that because I owned a house, a car, and had some savings, I needed to make sure that it would go to the people I cared about, rather than let it be tied up in legal technicalities. He patiently answered all my questions (I had a lot) and explained very clearly what I could do. Atty. Morana made what I originally thought was a scary, complicated process quite doable. It has brought me a great deal of peace of mind, knowing that my wishes will be carried out after I am no longer here.

My husband lost everything in his divorce that he had worked his whole life to save. It was devastating. By hard work and cutting corners, we were able to get another nest egg started. We had Wills made and were certain that everything was protected. We were wrong. We had not thought of death taxes and probate. If anything happened to one or both of us, our assets could be tied up in court for years, leaving nothing to look after our four children.I heard Joe Morana give a presentation about estate planning and realized we needed his expertise to protect our children and our assets. One of our biggest concerns was David’s ex-wife having control over funds allotted to his children. Joe explained how the children’s inheritance could be protected by way of a trust. We also have one special needs child whose inheritance would have had to be spent in its entirety before the state would help him. Joe also showed us how to prevent that from happening….The process was very easy. Joe explained everything in detail and answered all our questions. It was a tremendous weight off our shoulders to know that everything we worked so hard for would be protected, our children’s inheritance would go to them and they would not be subjected to the tedious process of probate. Now that it’s all done we breathe easier. We are comfortable and confident in our future and our children’s futures. Thanks for making that happen, Joe!

I am remarried to a man who was also married before. We both have children from our prior marriages. We wanted to plan for our future with wills, and all the necessary documents, but we were confused. Should we leave our money only to ourselves and exclude our children? Was it even possible to exclude the children? How to ensure fairness to both sets of children if one of us died before the other? Needless to say, we were confused and didn't know where to begin understanding our options. Attorney Morana was a Godsend. He was so patient and calm; he explained all our options and made us feel like we mattered to him. I could tell he truly cared; and he was an absolute gentlemen. I now refer all my friends to Attorney Morana.

"BUYER BEWARE, Forewarned is Forearmed" I (we) had the worst experience with Morana Law of any lawyer I have ever worked with. We had paid him $14,450.00 for a will, durable power of attorney, health proxy, living trust, and a special needs trust. We initially went to Morana because of his supposedly expertise with special needs. Boy were we sorry! The worst customer service ever. After paying him all that money, he claimed our contract was null and void because we needed more time than allotted by his time schedule. The fact was we needed more time for some testing to be completed, which put us outside of his pre-established schedule. Morana claimed because we needed more time than his prescribed schedule allowed we broke our contract; therefore, he was not obligated to give us our documents. Keep in mind, we had already paid him $14,450.00. No flexibility, or understanding at all. Morana would not even discuss it in person. What a terrible position for a family to be in, paying him a boatload of money, needing the documents and being totally stonewalled, for no rational reason, other than being outside the boundaries of his timeline. He caused our family a lot of pain and frustration. We had to file a complaint with the Massachusetts Bar Council. It took over two years for us to finally get our documents. We only got our documents because of our complaint filed with the Bar Council. Otherwise he felt no obligation to be fair and give us what we had paid for. We also got a financial settlement. Dealing with this lawyer and having to file the complaint with the Massachusetts Bar Council took a lot of time and energy. We did not want to file the complaint. We had hired another lawyer to discuss the situation with Morana, to no avail. He wouldn’t return our lawyers phone calls – unbelievable. We were essentially forced to file the complaint. It was aggravating and very frustrating. For something that should have and could have been resolved quickly, especially if he had been just a little sympathetic to our situation. There are a lot of good lawyers in the Andover area to choose from, I suggest you hire one of them. Save yourself potential headaches, aggravation, time and money. If you want to hire Morana, some advice; compare his costs with other lawyers. You may find the same service by other very competent local lawyers, for a lot less money. Also, check just how flexible or inflexible Morana is compared to other lawyers. You may be very surprised, we certainly were. I would hate to see another family have the same experience we had. Would I use this lawyer again - ABSOLUTELY NOT! Would I recommend this lawyer to anyone else - ABSOLUTELY NOT! What appears at first rosie, may not be the case, this review is a peek behind the curtain. Our experience was HORRIFIC. BUYER BEWARE! Forewarned is Forearmed.
