Getting a divorce sucks. It is vulnerable and can be downright scary. But the moment that I met Joe Davis I knew I was in incredible hands. He knew exactly how to protect and honor my family, and assure the best outcome. He counseled me with warmth, regard and humor. I even joked that he was my attorney/therapist. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who wants a caring, intelligent, high skilled advocate in the divorce process.
I hired Joe to handle what I thought was going to be an amicable and simple divorce proceeding, My divorce quickly went from amicable to extremely difficult and ugly. Joe was there for me every step of the way, helping me make the right decisions and navigate the process. He was always accessible and prompt in responding to my questions. I highly recommend attorney Joe Davis.
He charges a lot but doesn’t do much for it. It’s like he doesn’t even care to put in the minimum effort forget actually trying to win. Working with him has been one of the worst experiences of my life and one of my biggest regrets. He tells you all the right things but doesn’t deliver on any if it. And if you question him, he’ll turn it around and make it your fault. It was bizarre. Not sure why he doesn’t use that energy to actually do his job! He didn’t know the basics of my case. He presented no evidence in court. I asked him to explain exactly what he was charging me for and his response was to resend his bills. He misled me about the process and costs. He did not prepare me for trial nor was he prepared. Im actually shocked he still has his law license.
I went into court understanding that I might lose my case but 100% confident that I would escape contempt charges because I had, with Joe's guidance, met every one of the judge's requirements. Though Joe didn't argue any of the points that I expected him to, I thought that the trial went well because I trusted Joe who, moment's before the judge delivered his ruling, looked at me and said "That went really well." He was wrong. Not only did I lose my case, I was found in contempt and ordered to pay 12k for the other side's attorney's fees. I believe that if I had hired a better lawyer, I might have won my case and I certainly wouldn't have been found in contempt.
