Without reservation, I highly recommend Mr. Curosh. He has worked tirelessly to get the best results for my case. He has been attentive and caring to which I am extremely appreciative"
I suffered a vicious and unprovoked attack at Center Lounge in Whiting, Indiana, which was on video, occurring on August 15, 2011. My jaw was fractured and my mouth was wired shut for over four weeks. I hired Curosh and Curosh in September of 2011. I later learned the identity of my attacker, who I found out was from from Louisiana. I had never met and never spoke to him. I was punched twice in the jaw from behind for no reason. After I was unconscious, I was thrown to the floor. I hired Joseph Curosh to sue the Offender and also sue the Bar, Center Lounge, in Whiting Indiana. After 5 years Team Curosh received no offers from Center Lounge or movement in my case. Finally on 10/13/2016 I was notified by Team Curosh to come to their office, for what I thought would be an offer finally made by Center Lounge. Instead it was to give me a bill for $3,011.73. When I expressed my outrage and dismay (Joseph Curosh III) said that I had to pay the bill and searched frantically for documents to support his position. No documents were ever retrieved or given to me. I was under the misguided perception that they did not get paid until I got paid. I didn't know who to turn to so I notified Channel 32 News, and Larry Yellen called my house and left a message. I never called him back because I was an active Chicago Police Officer at the time of this situation and didn't want the embarrassment of having my picture and story all over the news. I am currently retired from CPD after 27 years service. I reluctantly sent the check to the Curosh team. After almost exactly six years after the original brutal incident the case finally went to trial in August of 2017. The key witness, the bartender never showed up in Court, and as a result, key testimony could not be given at the trial. As a result they lost the case against Center Lounge. The Defendant never showed up in Court, nor did he show up at the Deposition years earlier. It should be noted, that the Defendant went to jail in Lake County Indiana for nine months for the attack on me, so Team Curosh definitely could find his whereabouts because he was on probation for years. At the end of the trial I was awarded a settlement against the Defendant. The judgement was issued on August 10, 2017 in the amount of $129,906.98. I was called by the Curosh Team a month or so after the trial and they assured me they would go after my Judgement and handed me another bill for $4,843.36. I mailed them the second check shortly on September 29, 2017. In total I have paid $7,855.12 . After this meeting heard nothing from the Curosh Team in almost two years I filed a complaint with the Indiana Disciplinary Commission on 07/11/2019. After this complaint was filed I received a letter dated August 23,2019 saying that on July 8, 2019 the Defendant had finally been served and also appeared in Court on August 19, 2019. He is a Journeyman Craftsman and may have a pension and other accounts. It also should be noted, that I was never informed of this court date, and certainly would have wanted to be there. I have called them twice earlier this month (December 2021) and left two messages to no avail. I would warn anybody against hiring these lawyers. Team Curosh failed me completely. I continue to lose sleep over their treatment of me and my Case. The defendant has never been held financially responsible for his actions. To this date (28 December 2021) I have no information as to whether the Defendant has a job and has been paying taxes and why, if he is employed, his wages aren't being garnished.
Without reservation, I highly recommend Mr. Curosh. He has worked tirelessly to get the best results for my case. He has been attentive and caring to which I am extremely appreciative"
