Mr Basgier took on my criminal case when my previous attorney made it known that the only thing he was good at defending were his legal fees ($5000 for showing up twice at Jeffco Courthouse while accomplishing absolutely nothing other than backing me into a plea agreement that I wasn't even aware of until I was called up to see the judge and enter a guilty plea for something I wasn't even guilty of!). I informed the judge that my attorney was guilty of misrepresentation and I was not happy with his defense of my case. The judge allowed me the opportunity to retain council one more time and that is when I contacted Mr Basgier. Not only were Mr Basgier's fees more affordable, his legal advice and knowledge was second to none. A case that had taken months just to reach a nonsense plea deal with my previous attorney only took one appearance to be thrown out with Mr Basgier representing me. I was pulled over without having my prescription medication in the bottle from the pharmacy because I was going to the lake that day and placed it in a waterproof container on my key chain. I gave my medical records showing that I had a valid prescription to the judge under my previous attorney but he was unable to understand medical records, therefore he couldn't explain to the DA that the prescription was valid and written prior to the arrest date (courts do not accept pharmacy print outs). After giving the same evidence to Mr Basgier it only took a matter of minutes for the DA to see that it was really legit and that I had broken no laws whatsoever. He threw the case out immediately and even apologized for the mix up. What would have happened if I hadn't hired Mr Basgier? I don't even want to think about it! Thanks again Joe! LC
