About
I am a Northern Virginia native and have remained in Virginia through my education and my career. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the College of William and Mary in 2005, with degrees in Classical Studies and History, focusing on early American History. Having greatly enjoyed the history that Williamsburg had to offer, I remained at the College of William and Mary, attending William and Mary’s School of Law, America’s oldest law school which is still in operation. After graduating from William and Mary’s School of Law in 2008, I returned to Northern Virginia, working at a twelve attorney law firm in Prince William County. Although most would consider a twelve attorney law firm to be rather small, it was one of the largest in Prince William County. The size of the firm and the range of their practice areas allowed me to learn several areas of law, and to decide in which areas of law I most enjoyed improving the lives of clients. In 2013, I established my own firm. In 2014, my wife, Jacqueline C. Smith, and I formed the Smith Francis Law Group. My practice areas include Real Estate; Landlord and Tenant Law; Business Law and Business Formation; Wills, Trusts and Estates; and creating, reviewing, amending and negotiating Contracts.
