My name is Jonathan R. Bunn and I have been practicing law in Federal and State Courts in Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama and even Utah for over twenty-five years.After high school I served in the 82nd Airborne Division, U.S. Army for four years. I graduated summa cum laude from East Tennessee State University in 1988. I graduated in the top third of my class at the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1991. I first worked for a firm in Bristol, Virginia which became Peters, Lipscomb, Jones & Bunn when I made partner. During that time I was involved in all of the firm's litigation, which I particularly enjoyed and which led me to accept a job at Gene Cochran, P.C. I was the firm's litigator and I tried personal injury cases (mostly auto) and workers' compensation cases all over Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee - from Roanoke to Knoxville.Since that time, I practiced law for four years in Alabama and 15 years in Tullahoma, Tennessee and expanded my practice to include bankruptcy, social security disability, divorce and criminal. Of course, I have always handled personal injury cases. When the kids graduated from college my wife and I decided to move to Utah. We love to hike and I even did some rock climbing. Then, the kids ended up in middle and west Tennessee. Our daughter Katy is at Vanderbilt University getting her Ph.D. in biomedical research and our son Alex is at University of Memphis School of Law. So, we decided to move to Dyersburg. My wife is a physician and will practice obstetrics and gynecology at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital. She goes by Karen E.
