Jon's entire career has been focused on representing people accused of criminal offenses. Jon first worked for the Kansas City Public Defender for 4 years, where he gained vast experience and a reputation as a zelaous advocate and a skilled trial lawyer. No matter the facts, no matter the circumstances, Jon is willing to take your case and fight for your freedom. Jon recognizes the value of having a quality lawyer on your team when the government puts all its power behind obtaining a conviction. He has tried more than 20 cases to verdict in which clients were charged with offenses including - but not limited to - murder in the first degree, murder in the second degree, arson, rape, forcible sodomy, robbery, burglary, assault, DWI, and possession of drugs, among others. Jon has also lectured and taught other lawyers, law clerks and law students on significant issues relating to criminal law, such as eyewitness identification, suppression issues and bond practices.
