I initially found Jon Phelps on-line. During the initial consultation, Jon thoughrally explained how a divorce works, the length of time, what to expect and what my options were, all in understandable common language. Shortly after that , I hired Jon and his firm to represent me in this matter. I had never been divorced and was full of questions, skepticism, and suffered anxiety attacks ( for the first time in my life). After the initial appearance before the judge, all the anxiety, uncertainty, and nerviousness was gone. The way they handled themselves and opposing council, let me know that I was in good hands, and that I had made the right decision in having them represent me. I am not a computer genius and had troubles with my personal computer. No problem, they worked with me and helped me. Many times Jon worked with me and tried to offer reasonable offers to my ex, that would satisfy both parties, but to know avail. We knew that the opposing party wanted to go to trial regardless of any attempts, by us, to avoid that outcome. Once again, I knew that I was being represented by a competent, professional, and caring attorney, Jon Phelps, and his office of coworkers. When it came to the final trial, Jon was able to negotiate some pre-trial agreements with opposing counsel, that benefitted both parties. During the trial, Jon exhibited a through understanding of the law. Jon showed his experience and courtroom professionalism, by the way he handled the trial and most importantly his questioning and use of evidence. To say the least, I was impressed and glad that he wasn't the opposing counsel. In the end, I could only hope for a somewhat favorable decision, from the judge. When the judge's came out, I was very happy. I know that I would not get everything I wanted, however I received almost everything that we wanted. All this is do to the hard work of Jon Phelps and his associates. I thank God that I found the right attorney to represent me .

We found Jon and his firm doing a search on line as I live in a different state from the other party in the divorce. The vetting process for me entailed outlining my situation and soliciting feedback on the viability of my case. Jon was the first to reply and his reply was by far the most complete and to the point of the 5 I reached out to. Jon put my mind at ease as well as opened my eyes to possibilities in the case I did not see as probable. With the mother of my children that I was seeking a divorce from living in Arizona while I lived across the country, my hopes at best were to have decent visitation options and not have to pay the ex more than she deserved. Jon outlined the process and was very realistic as to how long it “should” take and how long the process “could” take. Jon has an amazing support team that is as detailed and professional as he is. Despite a personnel change on an associate attorney that was helping with my case, Jon kept me informed until the new attorney became involved. The new Attorney, Brandon Sander, became the lead on the case and Jon’s leadership and philosophy became the foundation of the case that is precedent setting for custody. My expectations were exceeded with Jon and his team. The day Jon stood up to the judge and requested that he rule on something that he was going to put off changed my life. That ruling gave me custody of my children which is what I had believed was the right thing, but never believed it could happen. Jon made it happen. Jon, My family and I thank you for making a very challenging situation a positive experience.

Jon represented me in a small claims suit filed by a person with whom I had a business relationship. He was timely, efficient and negotiated a fair settlement.

Jon brought an incredible amount of knowledge and empathy to a very confusing, difficult situation with my family and divorce. The divorce was being contested but was Jon was able to resolve it in a very expedient manner which subsequently reduced my expense during a trying time. I have recommended Jon to multiple people since.

Right from the start, Mr. Phelps made me feel at ease. He met with me for a low-cost initial consultation and immediately understood the pertinent elements. He reviewed my paperwork and explained the process of my case to me and was happy to answer an questions that I might have. He provided me with excellent results and I would not hesitate to hire him again for any of my legal needs.

Jon Phelps is not an attorney that I would recommend to anyone. He is unorganized, forgetful and stutters when presenting your case in front of the court. He even had a conflict of interest situation with my case where he was pretending to promote my kids participating in an extracurricular activity club team, yet simulateously suing that same company club team with a different client. That could have explained his lack luster performance. Yet it didn't explain how he could bumble through the rest of my case, or excuse him from waiting until the last minute, literally, to prepare for my case and forgot many of the items involved. Also he submitted an appeal for my case of which he charged $$$, however he wasn't aware that you can't file an appeal until a final judgment has been fully entered. I didn't know that before. Now I do. Why didn't he?
