About
I started my carrer as a broker, investment advisor during my career I ended up doing a lot tax work form my clients. I became interested in tax law because tax issues touched every aspect of my client's lives. I felt I could help my clients more if I became a tax attorney. I quit my full time job and enrolled on law school. As I was helping tax clients in my law practice, I realized that in addition to tax problems my clients often had problems with debt. I started to do bankruptcies now my practice is evenly split between resolving tax issues and helping clients through bankruptcy. I have found that there is great synergy between bankruptcy law and tax law. Bankruptcy law allows a taxpayers to resolve their tax issues on better terms that the taxpayer would get outside of bankruptcy. Bankruptcy in certain instances will allow a taxpayer to discharge penalties or pay back unsecured tax debt for "pennies on the dollar." I do not consider my practice to be solely bankruptcy or solely tax law but a practice utilizing bankruptcy law and tax law to help individuals and businesses resolve their financial problems.

Jon is not only a great tax attorney, but I consider him highly trustworthy, well-respected and his advice is always common-sense. He has helped my family through many tax issues and I shall continue to retain his skills.
Jon took care of a bankruptcy for me and it went well. It was my only bankruptcy so I have no experience to base it on. He also attempted a tax settlement case which was just a disaster. If you retain him as your lawyer my advice is to keep EVERY written document and get a paid receipt on every payment. If you agree upon something, put it in ink! If I had a do over, I would have hired someone different.
