You need someone who knows when to be calm and negotiate and when aggressively litigate, all while putting the best interest of your family above legal fees. Many people view divorce as a family being torn apart but, with the right lawyer, your family can be redefined.Family law is my passion and I have practiced it exclusively since graduating from Hofstra Law in 2010. is very innovative, and thinks outside of the box with methods of awarding my case.

I had a very messy and emotional divorce. I was scared, confused and worried about getting custody of my children. Ms. Louis was very patient and understanding. She listened to me, returned my calls right away and explained everything to me, sometimes more than once. It was a long, hard process but I felt like I had a friend by my side. I felt like she was fought for me but she wasnt afraid to tell me when I was being unreasonable. I highly reccomend her to anyone who needs a divorce lawyer.

I retained Ms. Louis to represent me in my divorce. She was very professional and very responsive to all my questions and concerns. The most important thing to me was her honesty, if I was being unreasonable about something she let me know. My divorce was a very emotional time for me and she helped me make the right decisions, even if that meant her making less money on my case. She always returned my calls in a timely manner and kept me updated on my case. My only complaint would be that she was more expensive than some other attorneys I talked to but I felt it was worth it in the end.

Overall Mrs Louis seems like a great person but unfortunately i was looking for representation. Here are a list of my issues that i had: - Punctuality seemed to be an issue with arriving to court - During trial, questions were not prepared as a years worth of evidence was provided - With a years worth of evidence being provided not one piece was submitted while being billed to have items admitted (arrived to court with just a folder and tablet three (3) times) - A lot of her questioning was objected to or scratched from the record. She did not seemed prepared or up to task - Closing arguments were made up on the spot as i watched her take notes and read them with a series of "ummms" yet I was billed for the preparation time. - To this day I have yet to hear from her in regards to my trail decision even though I contacted her to find out what was going on. I am aware of my decision because our referee mailed the information. - My overall billing time did not translate into the courtroom (questions, presentation, performance, arguments) - Mrs Louis assumed i had an open and shut case and proceeded as if that was a given

I had an open and shut case, my ex and I had a pre-nup and he signed over full custody so this case was purely about filing paperwork. Everything took forever, she never, ever followed up with me or at the court when things were taking way too long. I emailed for updates and would just get a standard "It can take this long for a judge to sign". Finally after 8 months of me following up with her she finally admitted it was taking a while and followed up with the court only to find out the judge wanted some additional paperwork. Seems like this could have been handled a LOT more promptly had she only reached out. We submitted that, then the judge wanted something else Ms. Louis had failed to provide, a few more back and forths and more months waiting I finally got my easy, no contest divorce signed after a total of about 1.5 years. There's no way it needed to take that long. Ms. Louis was just wildly ineffective and did not care about me at all.
