Got a ticket (violation noice) in the National Park. John is very professional and helpful answering my questions and concern. He is very straight-forward and confident to talk to. Glad to get his help and understand the situation.
I hired John Kucera last year to help me with allegations my soon-to-be ex-wife made against me. The thing that made me trust him most was the advise he gave months before I'd hired him: "Don't hire me until you need me." Most lawyers would want to be hired as soon as possible; John waited, talked to me when I called/emailed, never charged me beforehand, and then when the time seemed appropriate, he said, "Now is when you hire me." John checked on my situation regularly, gave me updates whenever I asked, and was very reassuring. Thankfully the case was never brought to court, quite possibly because of conversations & correspondence John had with the law enforcement.
I was referred to John Kucera for local assistance on a client’s traffic issue, which proved to be successful. Mr. Kucera was responsive, courteous, professional and well-versed in the subject matter, and his experience with the forum in question was evident. He efficiently produced the hoped-for outcome, confirming his evaluation of the issue in a manner that favorably resolved it. I appreciated his efforts.
John is a great lawyer that actually seems to care about the people he represents! He did a great job communicating with me on what was happening and going to happen so that I really understood what to expect. Other lawyers told me to expect 6 months in jail and John got the feds to accept a simple fine! I never jad to go to one court date John handled everything! Thanks again John!
Brought John a case that I thought would send me to prison, instead I ended up with probation and a suspended sentence. Wow. Worth every penny... There were four critical moments in the case and all four times he got the best possible result. I just don't see how those four all would have gone my way with a public defender or just any lawyer. John is very good at what he does. He was very thorough with regard to evidence and the details of the case. This wasn't my first rodeo and I've never had a lawyer do that before. They all seem to ignore the details of the case. Not John, he wanted to know anything in the police report that was wrong, any evidence I had etc. He also sent me detailed letters at every stage letting me what was happening next, anything I needed to do etc. Also never seen a lawyer do that before. Only criticism: he's not very communicative via email (though he does seem to read anything you send him) and the only way I could reach him was by calling his office. Him being in court a lot makes it hard to reach him as a result. I could already sense this before I hired him but at the end of the day, do you want an average lawyer who is easy to reach or a superstar? I went with the superstar and it was the right choice. The letters he sent also mitigated this, he seems to know exactly what questions people may have and answers them in advance.
I needed someone who would take on the system. From the first talk with his office I knew he was the one by how professional the secretary was. After my Talk in person with Kucera. I felt relaxed and confident going in front of the judge. I also was impressed with how he handled himself in the court room. He definitely knows what he is doing. And most of all got the results I wanted.
Shasta County residents should consider themselves truly fortunate to have such a phenomenal defense attorney in their midst. We initially chose John for representation primarily because he had several years experience working as a prosecuting attorney prior to working as a defense attorney. It only stands to reason that his role working in both capacities makes him absolutely invaluable when it comes to strategizing and arguing for one's defense. That said, we found it refreshing that he was, also, very easy to talk to and was often a source of strength for us when we were distressed. We found him to be understanding, reasonable, and very knowledgeable in his field. He was persistent and tenacious in our defense, and he did a great job at keeping us informed every step of the way. His dogged determination and thorough investigation ultimately resulted in the dismissal of the case against us. Hopefully, we will never find ourselves in the position of needing to hire a defense attorney again, but should that day ever come, we would not hesitate to hire John Kucera again.
I hired John Kucera to represent my daughter who was falsely accused of obstruction and assault against the Redding Police Department. Although I never met him he was recommended to me by a friend and believe me he is worth EVERY penny. He not only saved my daughter from a Criminal Record he also reimbursed over 50% of what I paid him. An extremely honest and trustworthy lawyer, well worth the rating that he has.
A year ago I met with Mr. Kucera to see if he could help me get my conviction from 40 + years ago cleared. He worked many hours trying to find a way to clear me of a mistake made as a teenager. He was successful, and now I will be able to enjoy my new found life without that burden. I will never be able to thank him for all he did for me. He was compassionate and understanding and his knowledge of the law and sheer determination was what made this happen. If you are in need of an attorney who will actually "help" you with your problems and fight for your rights, then Mr. Kucera is the person you want to represent you. Thank you John!
5.0 star rating 8/27/2013 In 2012 I was falsely accused by my ex partners of stealing and charged with four counts of stealing or attempting to steal property from foreclosed homes. Nothing could be further from the truth but the district attorney's office and their investigator interviewed over 60 witnesses and stacked them against me. I was never even interviewed! How could that happen? At the time, the case seemed pretty hopeless. Acting on a referral, I interviewed and hired John Kucera to represent me when I learned of the rumors and accusations. I knew I needed a solid attorney on my side and for my protection. Mr. Kucera was integral from the time charges were brought and, with his meticulous and thorough investigation, he mounted a defense that at times seemed hopeless due to fighting the state DA's office with countless resources. During the three-week jury trial that ensued in 2013, John was able to discredit all of the prosecutions witnesses, bring the truth to the surface and I was found NOT GUILTY and acquitted of all charges after only three hours of the jury deliberation. (with a lunch break). After the trial, even the jurors discussed that during deliberations that if they ever found themselves in a similar situation, they would hire Mr. Kucera due to his court presence and experience. That's a clue! Were it not for John's experience and expertise, I could have lost a state issued license, my livelihood and everything that I owned and worked for. I highly recommend Mr. Kucera for his knowledgeable and aggressive defense. He cared not only that justice was being served but that I had someone that believed in me. A friend in a time of need. Don"t listen to the haters. If it's important, choose John!
