I have been divorced for almost 6 years and I had recently returned to court for additional custody. My ex-wife was determined to do anything to prevent this from happening. I hired John and he provided me with a very fair price from the start. He would always provide quick email responses and was not interested in creating work just so that he could bill me for the hours. In fact, when asked about certain options he would dismiss them out of turn as not having a high likelihood of success. The proof of his honesty and integrity is that his answers did not provide him with any additional income for work completed. He himself has gone through what many people who are seeking a family law attorney have already dealt with, a difficult ex-spouse or significant other. He's well-versed in all the nonsense that fills family courts and knows how to counter it with strong case law. I'm very happy that I had a chance to meet him and to have him work on my case. As of this writing I have been awarded full temporary custody of my girls. Three years ago I had only about 15 percent.

John understands the process and emotions involved with family law first hand. In my experience he has always represented my sons interests with the best intents. Patricia has been a saving grace when it comes to offering sound advice in protecting rights and ensuring my sons best interests are first. They are really special at providing sanity in a sometimes insane court process. I would highly recommend to friends and family.

John Volz has represented me on several occasions. He is professional and trustworthy. All the cases he has represented me on he has won. I would definitely recommend him to other clients. He's not only good at his job but he's very understanding and looks after ones best interests

John took my case after hearing the difficulties I was having with my ex wife, she demanded an obscene amount of money from me and when I told her I wasn't willing to pay it any longer but rather a lessor yet still generous amount, she withheld my son from me. John was not only sympathetic to my case but also showed urgency towards getting visitations with my son again. He had a case filed within a week of our initial meeting and visitation was ordered soon thereafter. He showed genuine concerns for not only my well being not that of my son as well. A week before Christmas (and my scheduled vacation with my son and girlfriend) my ex told me she wouldn't allow me to take my son anymore, she wasn't "comfortable" with him being with me for a week and didn't trust me to return him on time or if he wanted to come home. What better person to be with for a child than a parent!? I called John that night and he scheduled an emergency court hearing the next business day. We were able to come to an agreement because John mediated the situation between us and from that point on I think we were able to agree and come to terms with each other regarding our son without the courts or judges being involved. I am grateful to John's attention to details in my case and for his willingness to be fair.

In my experience with Mr. Volz as my lawyer, I was displeased on many levels...... too many to list them all. As an overview of my experience, he showed a MAJOR lack of preparation (Preparations for court consisted of sitting down 30 minutes before heading into the court room to go over things), The declaration submitted to the courts by his office was horribly written.......it was so bad that I wrote my second declaration and had him make adjustments to it (I have NO legal training), He was not able to articulate an argument for any aspect of my case in the court room (He actually looked to me to respond to the Judge......literally). And when it was all said and done and the outcome did not go in my favor (not in the least bit), he proceeded to make excuses for the results and blamed is all on the fact that my ex-wife was a b****, just like his ex-wife. I felt humiliated that this was the person I had chosen to represent my character and thoughts, and that I was dumb enough to entrust this lawyer with something as important as the future well-being of my child. And having to pay him for his unskilled, untrained, underqualified service was just icing on the cake.

I felt humiliated that this was the person I had chosen to represent my character and thoughts, and that I was dumb enough to entrust this lawyer with something as important as the future well-being of my child. And having to pay him for his unskilled, untrained, underqualified service was just icing on the cake.
