I am a former attorney for the District of Columbia government. I defended the D.C. government in a range of legal matters including: general civil litigation, personal injury, negligence, police misconduct, employment, medical malpractice and landlord-tenant. I have been in private practice since 1995. I primarily am engaged in civil litigation in the District of Columbia and Maryland. My practice areas include: personal injury, employment, real estate litigation and criminal defense. I represent clients at all levels from administrative hearings to trials and appeals.I have served as Chairperson of the District of Columbia Board of Appeals and Review. This was an independent appellate body which handled various administrative appeals.I am a graduate of Howard University and the George Washington University National Law Center. I am a nationally published legal author and a former adjunct professor.
