About
Attorney John “Ned” Perry is a former corporate legal counsel, with more than 30 years of legal experience. But he brings a wealth of experience beyond legal book learning. Together with his wife Hiroko, he raised a child born with Down syndrome and severe autism to healthy, happy adulthood, while traveling around the world as a family. Like nearly every family, they had some ups and downs along the way, including some legal scraps to successfully fight to get Annie the medical help, social assistance and education she deserves. As Ned says, “Friends ask me how we did it with so many challenges, but like most families, we wouldn’t change a thing.”

If your best friend from high school is a licensed attorney practicing elder law in Arizona you won't need Ned. If not I would highly recommend him. I am out of town and felt at a real disadvantage until I enlisted Mr Perry's services. He is honest, competent, empathetic, actually listens & puts your needs ahead of his own. His qualities make him a rare find! I breathed a sigh of relief just after our initial consult.
I highly recommend my Mr. Perry! I hired Mr. Perry for legal assistance for my intellectually disabled sister. I am her legal Guardian. My sister's assisted living facility was taking terrible care of her and I wanted to move her. Her expensive bed was moved to another resident's room and replaced with a urine soaked bed, her TV and DVD player disappeared, there was an unvaccinated and unregistered puppy in her room, the list goes on and on. The assisted living told me I could not move her out because that would be an "unsafe transfer". They had no problems when she spent weeks with me on vacation in California in Disneyland and at the beach though! Mr. Perry advised me on what the law says, assuaged my fears, and wrote a letter to the assisted living director, which I hand delivered. The assisted living was trying to use language to intimidate me to do what they wanted when they just wanted to keep a paying client. They argued with me about what my authority as a Guardian was and Mr. Perry took the time to explain to me that as Guardian, I didn't have to ask permission from strangers to do what I think is in my sister's best interest. He also told me of other things I can ask for in future living arrangements, like oral hygiene care. I had no idea I could ask caregivers to brush my sister's teeth and floss them because she cannot. I regret not hiring an attorney sooner when I started running into trouble with rogue, uneducated employees of care facilities. Mr. Perry was worth every penny. Don't screw around, hire an attorney if you have problems. It works.
I called the office late in the afternoon simply to find out if my Family Trust problems would be something he could handle. John answered and I explained the situation, at which point I expected him to say, "Yes we can, make an appointment to come in for a consultation, and we'll see you when you come in". Instead, he suggested that we talk a little more, asked me some more questions, and took the time to explain several issues that I didn't understand and what measures I needed to take right away. He continued to explain things until he was sure that I understood. By the time we finished talking, way more than "just a little more time" had gone by and I was now armed with some very important information that needed immediate attention. This guy doesn't know ahead of time whether or not I'm going to come in for a consultation, let alone be a paying client. Yet, he took the time to give me some very important advice and it was clear that he genuinely had my best interests in mind. I will be hiring him this week.
John is amazingly responsive and professional and is very pleasant to work with. I've used John multiple times for my trust and will creation and revisions and he's made what could be a stressful task much easier. I would highly recommend using John Perry.
We went to Ned with a broad estate planning request, unsure of how to proceed. Ned patiently guided us through various options and was focused on understanding our specific requirements. He was very knowledgeable and professional explaining the risks and benefits of each potential solution until we found the appropriate estate plan for us. He produced the documents in the timeline promised, was accommodating with changes and delays on our part and as a result, we have peace of mind that when we pass, our children will receive the benefit of our estate with a minimum of hassle and the appropriate trustees making decisions using good judgment consistent with our intent. He also provided guidance on future changes and maintaining the plan. Ned was a pleasure to deal with and gained our trust through the process which is as important as legal competence. We would highly recommend Ned.
I am just engaging Ned. He is the special attorney I have been looking for. I have had so many bad attorneys one after another. I had the same problem in Pittsburgh,, PA with a large case there. They were self serving, looking to make money, and did not care about my case. Finally I found one attorney. who I liked immediate. He won the case I had. This is the same, I feel about Ned after talking to him for about an hour. If anyone can help my case, i think he is the person to it, the same feeling I had one I meet this attorney in Pittsburgh!!!
I was fortunate to have been introduced to Ned Perry two years ago, when an elderly relation of mine needed some advice. She lived alone in Phoenix and, being in her 91st year, had many health and other issues ( I don't live in the US, so the situation was quite challenging). Ned provided her with an efficient, caring and totally empathetic service, and was readily available to answer - with great clarity and patience - any questions that arose. Sadly, she passed away since. As the administrator of her Estate, I then appointed Ned as my legal adviser. I cannot speak too highly of the service which I received – it was everything one could have hoped for, delivered in a friendly and yet totally professional way. I would recommend him without any hesitation whatsoever - a really superb attorney and a caring human being.
John took the task of helping me obtain a divorce with a difficult situation relating to disability included. He researched the necessary components and was able to obtain the divorce with no complications. I felt his representation was fair and honest and he worked diligently on this case. I appreciate all his help and efforts and would gladly refer him to my friends
In a word, Outstanding. Recently, my wife and I were faced with the daunting task of of having a will and power of attorney drawn up for my sister- in- law who suddenly became very ill and was diagonised with a terminal illness and had a very short time to get her affairs in order. My wife contacted Attorney Perry an explained the situation and he took action immediately. He explained the law to us in terms that we could understand, took care of drawing up all of the documents, and met us at the hospital that day with a notery to complete the entire process...all in less than three and half hours of our decesion to hire him. I also received additional advise from him on an unrelated family estate matter that proved to be very helpful in solving a problem with a financial institution that was not being cooperative with me. In short, both my wife and I are very impressed with Attorney Perry and would highly reccomend him to our relatives and friends if they are ever in need of legal advise. You never think that you will need it, but things do come up in life and it is comforting to know that he is there when we need him. Thank you again Attorney Perry for being there for us.
It is a pleasure to recommend Atty. Perry to anybody seeking legal assistance. Mr Perry recently prepared my family estate documents. He was very attentive to me and my wife's particular wishes and did a meticulous job preparing our wills & revocable trust. Mr. Perry was very patient with us and made that we understood all of the details and options involved in the whole process. Thank you, Rick Domm
