As a former IRS attorney, I represent people and companies experiencing problems with IRS and Illinois Department of Revenue. That includes civil and criminal tax investigations, examinations, penalties, delinquent tax returns, appeals and litigation, as well as tax collection issues. I provide legal representation in cases under consideration by the taxing authorities, the U.S. Attorney, the U.S. Department of Justice and the Illinois Attorney General. I practice in the U.S. District Court, U.S. Tax Court and U.S. Court of Appeals and all Illinois courts.The Supreme Court of Illinois does not recognize certifications of specialties in the practice of law and I do not hold myself out as a specialist. However, I concentrate my practice in the following areas: tax litigation in US Tax Court and all US Courts; Criminal and Civil IRS and Illinois Department of Revenue investigations; Appeals; Collection Issues; non-filers.
