Mr. Mann recently represented our family, specifically our “20-something” son, in the purchase of his first house. We are not from the Rockford area, so it was vitally important to have an attorney who was experienced and familiar with Winnebago County real estate requirements. Mr. Mann met our expectations, and then some. When logistics prevented an in-person meeting to review the initial contract, Mr. Mann was willing to conference via Skype. He took the time to explain the paperwork, line by line, and answered all the questions our son had, as well as our specific inquiries (since many first-time buyers don’t even know what to ask!) When a problem came up after the house inspection, Mr. Mann handled the repair rider and helped resolve it. Before closing, he clarified tax figures in the HUD settlement statement. All in all, we were very satisfied. His rates are reasonable, and we highly recommend him to anyone involved in a real estate transaction in Winnebago County!
I was going through a refinance dilemma. My mortgage had been sold to another company who were offering me stream line refi. There were issues with transfer of information from my previous lender to my new lender that was jeopardizing my lock in rate date which was near at hand. My wife mentioned Mr. Mann and from the first day I talked to him, he went right to work at settling this matter. The information was received by my new mortgage company and I was able to close before the locked in rate expired. Awesome attorney. Thanks John Mann
