John represented me in a sensitive litigation case that required a lot of tact. He is very knowledgeable and lived up to my expectations. John is an excellent communicator and pays attention to details. I like his demeanor and personality. He has earned my respect and will use him again should i find the need.
My wife and I used John Lewandowski to complete our estate planning. Mr. Lewandowski was professional, friendly, a great communicator, and made things easily understandable for us as we made decisions regarding our estate. I would definitely use Mr. Lewandowski's services for future litigation needs.
John Lewandowski takes the time to listen. He always makes me feel welcome and never rushes our conversations. He is responsive to my concerns and provides thoughtful and timely analysis and insights. He explains the probate process, discusses options, and describes what happens next. He does this all while maintaining a positive attitude despite dealing with difficult and emotional situations surrounding probate. Strongly recommend.
John was hired as co-counsel for a will contest against my brother and sister here in Youngstown/Mahoning County. He was here numerous times, was always available via cell phone or email and kept me constantly updated. This was over a 6 month period. He also kept in regular contact with the atty here in town. The trial against my evil siblings was settled out of court as I could not have asked for anything better. Do not believe any negative reviews against Atty Lewandowski. I spent a considerable amount of money on attorney fees and depositions but it was well worth it. The decision ended up favorably for me mainly due to this man's tireless efforts. We will continue the friendship that developed between us and plan on keeping in touch and visiting regularly.
We hired John to help us after my brother-in-law died without a will. There was a lot of bickering between the siblings, especially when we found out that one sister had convinced my brother-in-law (who had dementia) to put everything in her name. John met with us to gather the information, and then he patiently walked us through each step. It was kind of a mess but John was calm throughout the entire process and helped us get everything straightened out. We are very happy with the service he provided. Everyone at his office is friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend John and his law firm to anyone needing a lawyer.
Mom died! We live in Florida. My sister lives in Toledo and hired an attorney to assist her with probate. They spent months concocting a plan to eliminate us from any inheritance! When they sent us the final papers to sign to close the estate it was obviously full of false statements that would award my sister the bulk of mom's estate (which consisted of less than $100,000) and us with less than $4000. Attorneys here in Florida said they couldn't help us because their license was valid only in Florida. We contacted a few lawyers in Toledo with no avail, all telling us there simply wasn't enough in the estate to cover their fee. Finally we were referred to John Lewandowski! When we called his office the receptionist connected us to his line and he actually answered his call! What a pleasant surprise to make a call that is answered by a live person rather than a recorded message. We explained our predicament of being out of state and how my sister and her lawyer submitted to us a proposal with a list of phony expenses that basically left very little in the estate. We told him we realized there wasn't enough money in the estate to warrant his time. We asked him if he would just construct one letter for a flat fee to send to our sister's attorney in hopes it would be enough to have them resubmit a more realistic proposal. John informed us that there were items in the proposal that were not actually legal under Ohio law. He said it just isn't fair what your sister's lawyer is attempting to do. He agreed to send a letter for us. One letter turned into several phone calls and emails before we finally received a fair settlement. Never once did John complain or even mention anything about having to do so much more than what we agreed to. He is truly a compassionate person with the utmost empathy for others. He is the true interpretation of the words integrity & trustworthy! We are so thankful he was referred to us and would definitely recommend him. John, we don't know if you read reviews or not but if you do please except our sincerest appreciation and thank you for all the extra time you spent for us. Ray & Connie
John updated our old wills, created a trust, and prepared living wills. He was very knowledgeable, offering suggestions when husband & I were unsure of how to handle some aspects, and he was very patient in explaining specific language and its intent. The process was an efficient, positive experience, and it was handled with total professionalism. We now have peace of mind knowing our affairs are in order and our final wishes documented.
My sister died with a will and a Transfer on Death, and Pay on Death. She lived in Toledo, Ohio. I live in Dayton, Ohio. My sister the named executor, lied about the estate and didn't probate our deceased sisters will. It was a real mess. I retained John Lewandowski to help find out what was really going on with her estate. My dishonest sister took all the money and sold the house and kept the money for herself. We were all named beneficiaries in the will. But because my dead sister didn't put all our names on the T.O.D., and the P.O.D. we got none of the bulk of her estate. John Lewandowski investigated the estate, explained our options, and gave us sound legal advise. He was fair and honest with us. He helped us understand the laws of probate. I found his council very helpful. I have not come across an attorney with such high integrity, honesty, and compassion. He has empathy for his clients. He took my case and worked with us so we didn't have to travel three hours one way just to meet with him. I called several other attorneys who did not want to help us without the hours of travel. He went above and beyond to help us. I know if you retain him as we did, you will be satisfied and pleasantly surprised. As we were.
Great to work with! He is knowledgeable and down to earth. He was thorough and took the time to explain everything to me in a way I could understand.
Both my parents died within three days of each other. My father died intestate my mother died with a poorly drawn out Will with a lot of credit card debt and a house with a transfer on death. John Lewandowski helped my siblings and me with the laws of probate. He was able to explain our options and formulate a good plan so we settle our parents estates. I highly recommend him to anyone who is dealing with the loss of a loved one. He is knowledgeable in probate law. He has compassion and empathy for his client. He is honest and trustworthy. Which is hard to find in my experience. He will work hard for you too.
