I highly recommend John. He is very knowledgeable and cares about his clients. A friend recommended him and I am so glad I took my friends advice. He was able to get me off a serious conviction.
It was my first time hiring a defense attorney for 2 cases I had. One for a pending suspension on my driving liscense for driving without car Insurance & second one for retail theft. The outcome for both were awsome not only did John stop the suspension on my driver liscense I even got a refund from the Kane County Cuircuit Clerks office of around $200 which I was definitely not expecting. John also was able to drop the retail theft charge & made sure it wouldn't be on my permanent record since I want to have a future career in law enforcement if it werent for John I would of just pleaded guilty & paid the fine not knowing it could of definitely hurt me on my future career. John defended me on both cases absolutely great I am extremly calm now & thankful to John & will not even hesitate to come back to John if I need his help again. I strongly recommend John as your attorney. Give him a call he responds fast, very knowledgeable & nice Attorney
Simply John literally stood by me as my daughter testified against me for attempting to hold my dog. I stood there and watched my precious daughter rip me and John made sure I did not lose even more dignity by collapsing. He even approached my other daughter to help stop the insane alienation inflicted by ex-wife. I was found not guilty on a directed verdict. I do not have my daughters but still have my career. Thanks John. You will always be family to me as well. You were raised right.
This law firm helped me expunge a criminal record that was preventing me from getting hired. I was told by a different law firm that my record could not be expunged. After hearing this, I was about to give up on getting my record cleared. However, I luckily got a second opinion, and the law firm of John Ioakimidis put the time and effort in to find the truth, which is that my record could be expunged, and I did not have to pay until they verified this. On top of this, they charged me way less than the original law firm would have. Since I live out of state, I needed someone to help me expunge my records, and this law firm definitely helped. They filed the paperwork almost immediately and got the petition approved by a judge, pretty much giving me a second chance in my career.
I was charged with Forgery, a Class 3 Felony. I thought I was doomed. After hiring John, I received TASC probation and my case was dismissed after satisfactory completion of drug treatment (Which I seriously needed). John knows the legal system and the right people in it to get his clients a fair sentence and the help they are entitled to. I would STRONGLY recommend Legal Defenders PC.
I was facing an uphill battle with a UUW. I will spare you the details, but what I will say is that I'm not normally the type of person to find myself in these situations. I have a clean criminal background and have worked extremely hard to put myself in a good position in life. College educated. Great resume and work history. Never been in trouble. But at the end of the day, everyone, not matter how great of a person they consider themselves, are 1 mistake away from being behind bars. It could be a lapse in judgment for a DUI, or in my case, a lapse in judgment to carrying a firearm when I felt threatened without a permit. John didn't judge me from the very beginning. He didn't throw me in the bucket with the 50 people a day that he hears from who are repeat offenders. He also didn't sugar coat things for me. He didn't tell me what I wanted to hear, which kept me on my toes. He told me the facts, he strategized a game plan, and he executed on that plan. He leveraged his relationships with the states attorney and with the judge, his familiarity with the legal system, his understanding of all parties concerns that would arise from offering me a fantastic plea agreement, and his common sense to secure an agreement that will help avoid ending my career opportunities moving forward. He is smart enough to know when to put the pressure on and when to take a few steps back and let things play out. I should have been in felony court from the beginning (not because I deserved it, but because of the very nature of my charges). I sat back and followed John's lead and I could not be happier with the outcome. I cannot thank John enough. I have already referred 1 person to him that found himself in a similar situation as mine. John is not a miracle worker, as no attorney really is. But he's smart, dedicate, he cares about his clients, he understand the law and his way around a court room, he has developed and maintains strong relationships with important people within the system, he wants what's best for you, and he is willing to fight for it. What else can you ask for? My advise to you: understand your situation, understand what you are up against, understand what success looks like (dismissals are pretty damn rare), understand that you are in this situation for some reason and although you think you may be able to get by on your own, understand you need legal help from someone who is willing to have your back, someone willing to be honest and upfront with you, and someone willing to do everything he can to help you achieve success. This is not a review written by an attorney, colleague, friend, or some family member of John's. This is a guy who got arrested, sat in jail for 2 days, lost my job as a result of the charges (complete BS I might add), was facing up to a year in jail, and walked away with an agreement that still gives me hope for the future. Thanks to John.....
I hired john to take care of a case that had been messed up by several prior legal reps. He was able to take complete control and within a week had accomplished what had taken my other legal reps months to muck up. Long story short john , with his sensitive personality and understanding of certain judges and their "ideas" was able to do every single thing I asked of him and more. He is honest, straight forward with you, and for the price/retainer he charges its worth every dime to invest in this man. He will get you what you need, no matter the time he must put in of his own. I could not be happier and dont know what I would have done without this young professionals help and experience.
John handled my case with care, continuously consulted with an immigration attorney to avoid any consequential damages. Always responsive, ready to answer my questions and provide recommendations. Nothing else than excellent experience! Highly recommended attorney.
Late one night I got the call every parent dreads: my son was in custody, and there would be a bond hearing first thing in the morning. I had mere hours to secure the best possible legal counsel. I did some research on the Internet, and I was favorably impressed with the track record of the practice shared by John D. Ioakimidis and his partner. I left a telephone message at around 2 am, and my call was returned early in the morning, in enough time to prepare John with the information he needed to meet me in court that morning. I am sure that his well prepared appearance on my son's behalf from the very beginning was crucial to the favorable outcome of the case. I also want to say that John is extremely thorough and diligent in pursuing resolution of the pending case. He is very approachable and patient and tells you exactly what you can expect. My son was charged with two felonies that carried possible prison terms of four to fifteen years. Instead, he is serving TASC probation. That first day in court, he was placed on electronic monitoring, far preferable to awaiting trial behind bars. John successfully negotiated this outcome. I highly recommend this attorney.
I had just graduated a well respected university and had job interviews lined up when I got in trouble and was facing a felony charge for auuw and misdemeanor possession in Chicago. I called john and right away he made sure that I was well informed of everything that was about to take place. For a while I thought my life was over and I was going to have to battle through life with a felony on my shoulders. With this team of lawyers, John and his partner Jim, you can feel the comfort that you are being represented by a very professional and knowledgable duo. With their devotion to my case they were able to get all my charges dropped and have given me a second chance at life. I would highly recommend calling this duo if you find yourself in a bad situation like I got myself into. The way these two attack each case with such professionalism gave me peace of mind that I was being represented by a couple of the best you can find. Thank you again to this duo for giving me a second chance.
