I have used this man for everything! He helped me in 2014 for my custody battle Again in 2015/2016 with my divorce 2019 for questions about running my own business 2020 I had 2 speeding tickets, and he went above and beyond to help me! I use this man for Everything!
Mr. Cutchin is honest and is very much straight to the point. He is busy and does not have time for games. Know what you what and he will guide and fight for you. Do not think any attorney will read your mind. Clients have to learn, ask questions and also put time into preparation for a solid case. He charges much less than other attorneys in the area. A consultation is not as expensive in comparison, either. If you have any remaining account balance, he will refund you. John does not take every client that calls or consults and he does not do so to pay for a life of luxury. He is passionate about family law. For me, John was the only choice in value and price and is respected by his colleagues and the courts!
We did not have very good results with John because he was not aware of recent changes to state laws, and we felt he did not properly prepare us for questions on the stand. We did a lot of the legal research on our own (his job) and brought things to his attention that he was not aware of. He also called us by the wrong name on a few different occasions (court dates), and forgot about one of our court dates completely (we called his office and he came over though). The negative results of our case were not all John's fault though - we were going against the state so the deck was stacked against us to begin with, and there were some contributing factors on our side as well. He is overly optimistic during consultations and has a great sales pitch. His is not cheap - flat rate minimums to take a case and if the billable hours run over the flat rate projection you are charged more, if the billable hours run under the flat rate projection, you are not refunded anything. John is good guy and has a decent reputaton, he will fight for you. I just can't recommend him to others based on his knowledge, overall performance, and the value of service that we received for our money.
I had to do every single bit of work for him during my custody trial. He charged me hundreds of dollars every time he wrote a letter to my children's mother then kept asking for more money. After my ex-wife ran out of money to pay her attorney she approached Mr. Cutchen and asked to make a deal. I made the deal. Then, when I was entitled to have the child support dropped, he wanted hundreds of more dollars to do that service. I ended up paying him $75 to file a motion and I had to go to court alone.
