We recently changed venues and are on a trial period with our new judge so i will update my review oncew our new court date is finished for more permanent orders. So far I am very Pleased with Johns work and also have seen him become more aggressive over time to fight for what is right.

When faced with having to go into court over the custody rights of my kids, I was nervous and scared to say the least. John helped calm my nerves a bit about the process. He was very good at explaining what was going to happen, and what could happen as a result of the hearings. I really admire his honesty. Some of the potential scenarios were not what I wanted to hear but it was important for me to prepare for them. He was very responsive to my needs and made me feel like he really cared about what was going on. His knowledge of the system made it really easy to understand what to expect and when it happened the way he said it would, it was even more comforting. This review is in regards to a hearing which took place in 2014. I was disappointed with John's performance in court. As one should know, the lawyers know each other, but it seemed as if Mr. Cannon lost all will to fight for my rights in court after meeting with the other party's attorney. John came back to the meeting room with the advice that I should just agree to what my ex wanted because the other party's attorney "did not want to drag me through the mud in court". I'm sorry, but after paying $10,000, an attorney should not back down the day of the hearing. . If there was any concern in regards to protecting my rights then he should have notified me long before our hearing and cut our financial ties immediately. I was also disappointed with his lack of knowledge regarding my case, after stepping in to replace the other attorney at the firm, I was assured he knew the case quite well. However, this was truly misleading as it was evident at my first meeting with him (which I was charged for) that he did not know what was happening in regards to the case. I also had an issue receiving any response back from the office when I needed to contact them. At one point it was over a month before I received a call back from the office, this issue ended in another court hearing. As it turned out, the paperwork I was calling to confirm had been filed in a timely manner, never was.

I attended a consultation and was assured an approximate outcome for my case, however, the reality of the results were completely different upon being represented in court and the outcome was not anything what I was assured.

I have used Mr. Cannon on and off for almost three years. The off time things didnt go to well for me in court. If there is such thing as an honest attorney it is this man. He does not tell you what you want to hear or embellish what may or may not happen. He is straight to the point and tells it like it is. he is worth every penny and is fair priced as well. I have reffered him to a couple people as well. My case is very in depth seeing as the other party is bi polar and makes up whatever they can to gain leverage.
