About
I am the chair of the Real Estate practice group in the Bangor office of Eaton Peabody, where I focus primarily on representing clients in commercial real estate transactions and real estate litigation. I advise clients on a broad range of matters involving leases,subdivisions, real estate redevelopment, conservation easements, natural resources and timberlands, land use licenses, title and conveyancing matters, road and access law, easements, title insurance, boundary disputes, timber trespass, access disputes, partition actions, and mortgage foreclosure. I also have experience in several areas of business law, including contract negotiation, mergers & acquisitions, corporate litigation, commercial transactions, and commercial lending. I am an active member of the greater Bangor community, and currently serve as Immediate Past Chair of the Steering Committee for Fusion Bangor, President of the Penobscot County Bar Association, Co-Treasurer of the John Waldo Ballou Inn of Court, and I a member of the Steering Committee for the Bangor Region Leadership Institute. I am a graduate of the Bangor Region Leadership Institute class of 2007, a past board member of the Bangor Y, and work to support numerous charities in the greater Bangor area. Prior to joining Eaton Peabody, I worked in the office of Maine Governor Angus S. King, Jr., and then worked for several years in the private sector for companies such as Putnam Investments in Andover, Massachusetts and Sprague Energy Corp. in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I attended law school while employed full-time at Sprague,where I held several positions, including Law Clerk to Sprague's general counsel. I am a native of Washburn, Aroostook County, Maine.
