About
My practices focuses on the litigation of business and intellectual property disputes, including disputes concerning trade secrets and noncompetition agreements. I have litigated numerous cases involving disputes between members of limited liability companies, as well as cases involving patents, copyrights and trademarks. I have been voted by my peers as a Super Lawyer every year since 2010 and I hold the highest rating, AV Preeminent, by Martindale Hubbell. I am a graduate of Harvard Law School and a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Suffolk University Law School where I teach a course on Trade Secret Law.

I've had the pleasure of interacting with many of the world's top attorneys professionally, including ones who are nationally recognized as top legal scholars, commonly recognizable to people even outside the field of law. I can say John's advice is of the same caliber, and far exceeding what I've received from most attorneys at big-name law firms. When I needed help with a complex employment issue, John came highly recommended. Since that time, I've consulted John twice on complex issues, once at length and once briefly. In my (admittedly limited) interactions with John, he was able to analyze those issues deeply, quickly, and perhaps most importantly, correctly. He was able to explain that legal analysis clearly and articulately such that I could fully understand the legal theory behind it. I'd like to emphasize that the issues we discussed were not simple; after one of our consultations, I received representation from a team including several top professors from institutes such as Harvard Law School and Columbia. They took much longer to analyze the same issues, and only eventually came to the same conclusions as John. In my limited interactions, John operated with a high level of personal integrity. On a personal issue, I was very financially constrained. To say John was generous with his time and billing would be an understatement, and he worked to help find pro bono representation. Regardless of financial means, that kind of personal integrity is rare and essential in a lawyer. Note that, I have not engaged him in litigation, negotiation, drafting of legal papers, legal strategy, or otherwise -- just legal analysis and advice. I cannot comment on efficiency, case management, or similar skills.
