Joel was my Attorney for 6 years post divorce. He is hands down the reason that my daughter and myself survived a very tumultuous situation that is beyond words and why we finally live in peace. Joel's knowledge of the law, experience, respect that he has in the law community and among the Judges, his honesty and his genuine concern for the well being of my daughter and myself was uncanny. Joel is about the best interest of his clients. He is there do the right thing for his clients and not to cause more conflict in any given situation. He is tough as nails when he needs to be and is very calming through all the stress. I highly recommend Joel and feel blessed that I was referred to him.
Divorce is a very scary time, and while I was interviewing lawyers to represent me, I immediately felt at ease with Joel. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and was able to calm many of my fears. His explanation of what to expect, and what was realistic was spot on throughout the whole process. Over the course of my divorce I often joked with him that not only are you my attorney, but you're also my psychologist ! I cannot thank him enough for being thoroughly diligent, and more importantly a calming influence and friend throughout the whole process.
My wife and I were blind-sided when my former spouse let us know of her relocation plans with only 30 days notice. We were devastated at the prospect of no longer being able to play a significant role in the lives of my young son and my special needs daughter. I had been told that dad's typically didn't win these types of domicile restriction cases and the fact that my daughter had special needs made it even more unlikely. Not long after we hired Joel, we knew we had found the right man for the job! Joel did a wonderful job of orchestrating and managing all aspects of pre-trial discovery and depositions, but what was most important, was his masterful performance in the court room. Over the course of a five day trial, Joel ensured that my children would remain in Houston and that we would be able to fully participate in their daily lives. We will always be grateful to you Joel.
Joel was not my initial lawyer, but he is the one that created peace in our lives. I call him our guardian angel. When I filed for divorce, I did not expect the 7 years of litigation that would follow. After an 15 month custody battle that ended in a trial by jury, I was exhausted. While I won custody of my child, I did not walk away feeling good about how my case was handled, or safe. When my Ex continued to come after me after the trial, I searched for a new lawyer, and was eventually referred to Joel. He was a blessing. I did not want a lawyer who wanted to beat my Ex down. I wanted a lawyer who would act with integrity, help protect my family, and help stop the chaos. After interviewing other lawyers who told me I needed to learn to "live with it", Joel said "I can help", and he did. I remember crying when I heard those words. I wanted help so much for my family. He gave me hope. After hiring Joel, I had two trials by bench, and numerous other court hearings. The trials came about, simply because I remarried. That is a material change, and my Ex pounced. He sued me for custody again. My Ex also started fabricating issues with our child, in order to win. Joel and his team, did a phenomenal job representing us. He did not create drama, as my first lawyer did, which only led to more ill feelings. He practiced the law. He helped us focus on doing the right thing to protect our family . I wish I could articulate how good he was. How well he knew the law, but I simply can't. Joel presented our case with truths, and facts. He was amazing in trial. Having been in court many times, and around many lawyers during these instances, I can now identify a good lawyer. After 5 days, my family was safe, our new decree air tight, and I was awarded all my attorney fees, and appellate fees.... should he appeal. Which he did, and lost as well. I am a professional woman, who was in a bad marriage, who wanted a better life for her child. I have years of experience in divorce litigation.... as the plaintiff. If you are looking for a lawyer who has integrity, knows the law, and truly cares about you as a person, hire Joel. I have sent others to him, and all have been happy with the results. I wish I had used him as my initial lawyer. The cost would have been well worth it. Joel is not only a great lawyer, he is a great person.........
I highly recommend Joel Nass and his team. Through every step of the way they were competent, thorough, courteous, and reachable whenever I needed them. They put extensive preparation and maximum effort into my case, which always contributed to successful outcomes. Processes involving hearings, motions, mediations, trials, and such, were handled professionally. They are a high quality team and worth the investment.
Before Joel I was in a 2-1/2 year court battle. Shortly after contacting Mr. Nass my divorce was settled to my satisfaction. I would definitely recommend the law firm to everybody and anybody. Thank you Joel!
Getting a divorce is obviously a very stressful thing. Not only did Joel provide outstanding service but he helped me understand the whole process and mitigated my stress. Joel Nass is outstanding and I would recommend him without reservation.
Joel and his team are highly motivated to do the right thing for you. They place a high value on doing what is right, fair and work diligently for you to make that happen. Over the course of a decade I have continually worked with Joel and his team to make sure the matters of my divorce, and occasionally thereafter, the matters concerning the welfare of my custody with my children. In all situations matters were handled with the children's welfare as the top priority which I appreciate to this day.
