I have had Jillian as my attorney in the past to help me get a few traffic violations dismissed and she saved me from becoming a habitual traffic offender and losing my license for 10 years. She also got a possession of marijuana case dismissed for me. She is very connected to very helpful sources located in the hamilton/marion county area, including prosecutors, judges and attorneys that are experienced in all areas of law.
I have used Jillian Keating, on more than one occasion. I have sent a few of my friends to her, when they were in need of specific legal consultations. One issue was DUI, the other issue that was resolved was a Habitual Traffic Violator issue, as well as for legal advice concerning other matters. She was very knowledgeable and very quick to answer my questions. She also told me exactly what to expect. The only down side is like most attorneys, they are usually a little slow to get back to you. Which i understand is the worst feeling, while facing anything legal, only add to the anxiety. However, I can state that having dealt with various other lawyers in the past, she is actually quite responsive in comparison to the others i have dealt with. I will also say that she is rather connected and knows a lot of the prosecutors and judges, as well as other lawyers who specialize in various aspects in law in the Marion and Hamilton county area. She has always been honest when there has been any issue, business, criminal, traffic, etc. and my go to lawyer first. If she can't help me she sends me to someone who can.
I would not recommend this attorey to anybody. In my case, Jillian Keating made a lot of mistakes and postoned the court case without my consent. I didn't get any good legal advise from her. I always had an impression that she was too busy for me and my case. As a result, no damages was recovered. Jillian Keating was not helpful at all !
Jillian is a holier than thou know it all who is not worth her rate. She is not as powerful as she thinks. She benefits from politics not skill. She is not a trial lawyer just a plea deal negotiator.
I was fortunate to have an ethical lawyer lay the groundwork for my case which was unlosable. Ms. Keating did everything she could to make her friends in the prosecutor's office jobs easier. She pushed plea deals, diversions, delays (when time was of the essence), all meetings were in private (I was present for all meetings with my previous lawyer), and her personal life and appointments are a priority over her professional one. I had to have a two part bench trial because she had to sell her house. She did everything she could to make this ordeal as expensive and nerve racking as possible. She is like a cab driver that takes the scenic route and runs the meter. If you must use this one, insist on a cap on her fees for the case. Do not enter into an open ended contract. Do not let her bill you to look up statutes that should have learned in law school. She is president of the Hamilton County bar, a political lawyer, and her professional relationships mean more to her than your efficient representation. Do not let this one "lead you through the law" unless you are a sheep that wants to be fleeced. Again, I was found not guilty. One would think I'd give her at least two stars.
