I interviewed with several attorneys as I have some upcoming legal matters that need to be addressed. I like the way Jill talked with me. She explained everything in a way that I could easily understand. She conducts herself in a professional manner, unlike some other attorneys that I interviewed. She is also reasonably priced for the level of expertise that she will provide. I feel confident that I found my future attorney!
I hired Jill on a two occasions and both were criminal. Jill did an amazing job in both cases. The first case I had all of my major charges dropped which would have resulted in jail time. The second case, Jill did another amazing job. I was looking at a few years in a state facility and Jill ended up working with the DA for me and getting me into a treatment program. Jill is a very knowledgeable person and she goes out of her way to please all of her clients. I, in fact chose Jill over a lot of other high profile lawyers because of her track record and from recommendations from other lawyers in the area that are personal friends.
Jill was my lawyer for my divorce and custody agreement. I have always appreciated her knowledge of the law, negotiation skills, and professional manner. She never pushed me to make a decision, but presented the facts along with my options and allowed me to decide. She is respectful both to her clients as well as the opposing counsel, which I greatly appreciate, and yet she is not a pushover. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking legal advice in a similar matter.
Jill is an outstanding attorney. Her advice is professional and well grounded in the law and her experiences. She understands both the near term and long term aspects of cases and is highly adept at explaining the effects of decisions. Adding to both my professional and personal respect for a great attorney, I would be remiss if I did not relate that Jill is an attorney that does not prevaricate; she will tell you exactly what to expect in your case and the potential outcomes. Do not expect to hear platitudes from Jill; while she, like all attorneys cannot promise an outcome, I believe strongly that she will give you her best and is, in my opinion, one of the best family law attorneys in the Comminwealth and certainly is one of the best in Berks County
Jill was my attorney for divorce and child custody. I was very pleased. She is very knowledgeable, skilled, hard-working, always responsive and always had my best interests in mind. She is very well respected among her colleagues and the legal community. She is very strategic. She works with you to thoroughly understand your situation and determine the "best" path forward. I am very happy and fortunate that Jill was my attorney.
Jill was very helpful by explaining the whole process in detail to me while I was an emotional wreck at our first meeting, due to an attorney I hired in a panic to find out later he was a fraud. She presented appealing options and gave me some hope. Jill corrected all the bad information I was given by the other attorney and I left the office feeling a lot more at ease. I found it very easy to communicate with her and she was always quick to reply. By following her advise the case was settled with an ARD sentence. As I told her I don't think without her representation I would have received such an outcome. I believe it had a lot to do with her status among colleagues, her reputation as an honest attorney, diversity, experience, and knowledge. I have had a few lawyers over the years and none of them compare to my experience with Jill. I will recommend her to any one I know with high regards and confidence that she will do everything she can to get the best outcome in any legal matter within her field. I am sure there are quite a few other great attorneys in the Reading, PA area, if you do not know one and need one, I would suggest sitting down with Jill.
When it comes to legal representation in the greater Berks County area I would definitely argue that you have significantly better options than Attorney Scheidt and the offices of Masano Bradley. She did a fair job and while I have misgivings about much of legal process, the breaking point for me (and subsequent reason for this review) was an invoice I received several months after my last dealing with Scheidt's office. The invoice was for the staggering sum of 8 dollars. My response: "I think it would be reasonable to have an $8.00 balance for a transactional fee forgiven in context to the overall scope of our dealings over a three-year period." The response from Attorney Scheidt's office was effectively, ‘we cannot waive court fees. Thank you.’ In the grand scheme of things, who cares about 8 bucks? On my side it is a very minor nuisance. Write a check, stuff it in an envelope, slap a stamp on it and throw it in the mail which amounts to what…3 minutes of time? In context, $8.00 equates to 82 seconds at the current billable rate for Attorney Scheidt. Cumulatively the Masano Bradley office, Ms. Scheidt and I have all invested far more than 8 dollars worth of time, effort and postage on resolving this matter. To me, what that speaks to is a lack of principle and quite frankly, an inconsiderate approach towards business and client relationships. The happy conclusion is that the $8.00 balance has been paid, but I would advocate you look for better options in your search for legal representation.
