About

Located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, I focus on getting to know my clients and their families to create thoughtful estate plans that address circumstances unique to each client. This collaboration helps me to spot potential issues and identify estate planning opportunities. Estate planning is my passion and to me it is more than preparing documents; it is getting to know people to develop an estate plan crafted specifically for them.I also work with personal representatives and trustees during the administration process after an individual passes away. My goal is to tailor my representation to provide the level of support the personal representative or trustee may need during what can be a difficult transitional time.

Meeting Jessica Grove gave me the hope, faith, assurance & professional courtesy & delicacy in a case which only someone of her wholesome & poised demeanor could convey out of court. Jessica justifies her genuine words w/action, strategy, plan & letting me learn of her process for obtaining information from the opposition. I felt in good hands as I do when I am in church on Christmas Eve & Easter. Jessica is someone I want to represent me & my family for the rest of my life. I appreciate her being referred to me & she notice I was 3 minutes late & called thus she has an eye for detail & protocol. Jessica may be the best atty we will see in Indy!

When I met Jessica, I was really happy with the level of commitment and attention she showed toward my case. The opposing counsel in my case is very aggressive and I needed someone who could stand up to that. I originally thought Jessica was that person. Through my case I learned that Jessica is extremely compassionate about her cases and clients. For me, that was a good thing. But compassion doesn't win cases. A strong will and preparation does. During my hearing, all of the items we had intended to use to make my case were kept out. They were kept out due to Jessica's lack of preparation. She had no foundational questioning prepared in order to bring in these items. When the opposing counsel began objecting, her poise and confidence disappeared. She became extremely nervous and repeatedly kept apologizing to the judge. Opportunities for her to object were missed due to how overwhelmed she became with everything. Overall, my hearing was a disaster and I feel that Jessica took it very personally. Over the next several months, we continued to work on other aspects of my case to try and correct what had happened in the hearing. I feel that Jessica became very passive after the hearing and I really had to push to get her to fight for what was in my best interest. The hearing took so much out of her that she had no real will to continue the fight. Miscommunication was another area that really caused an issue with my case. Documents were sent to opposing counsel without me reviewing them first, my child support responsibilities were not explained to me until 2 months later when it was discovered that I was in arrears, etc. Overall, Jessica is a great attorney for things that aren't messy. If you have an uncontested divorce or another matter that is very clear cut, I absolutely recommend her. If your situation can be resolved with just a little paperwork, Jessica would be great for you! But if you're in the middle of a custody battle or another legal battle that is very contentious, unfortunately, I cannot recommend her services. Please note that I have been very conflicted over writing this review. I think Jessica is an amazing person and she truly loves what she does. I know my case took a heavy toll on her. It did for me as well because, at the end of the day, I'm the one who lost my kids over all of this. I don't want to see that happen to anyone else.
