My mission as an attorney is to provide meaningful and informed representation to a wide range of clients. During my career, I’ve been employed in the legal field in East Tennessee in various roles. Prior to joining G. Keith Alley, P.C., I served as General Counsel for Lincoln Memorial University where I provided counsel to University administrators for a wide range of legal issues, advised on federal and state regulatory compliance, and drafted and reviewed over 2000 contracts annually. The areas of the law I most enjoy practicing include contracts, corporate compliance, education, employment issues, and litigation. I strive to provide quality and goal-oriented legal services in a manner that is individually tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. My experience has taught me the value of effective client communication and that clients benefit from having direct access to their attorney without filtering communication through law firm support staff. After I explained my dispute with the Flats of Jackson Square, that I was to rent a furnished Apartment from an onsite model they showed me and the 1 bedroom picture layout. I signed a 6 months without being able to see an actual apartment because, they said, none were vacant. When I went to move in, I was shocked to see that the apartment was NOTHING like the pictures or model. I refused to move in and told them I'd be contacting a lawyer. Nikki took my case and resolved it within days of initial contact. Unfortunately she couldn't get back my $275 deposit or my adjusted first months rent. But I got out of a 6 month lease that they were saying I'd have to pay them an additional 5K to break the lease. This was completely satisfactory to me.
