About
I proudly served as a U.S. Navy Jag Officer, defending those charged with violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice for over 24 years. I have successfully defended many members throughout the United States and the world. My practice is divided between military defense, and civilian criminal defense. Although based in San Diego, California I am available to defend a military member anywhere I am needed. In the last few years, I have traveled throughout California, Utah, New Mexico and Alaska in those endeavors. I am a former magistrate at the Miramar Naval Base Brig, and due to my continued practice, I know many of the judges and prosecutors throughout the San DIego area. While negotiating cases is a key part of the practice, I am always ready to go to trial on a case where I am retained. Please call if you would like a free consultation.

I really don't know where to start. Being in the military, I was facing and administrative discharge due to an alleged article 112.a. This man and his associate Jerrold Bodow put so much dedication into my case. Eventually there was so much reasonable doubt in regards to the case, my command had no other options but to dismiss all alleged charges. I would highly recommend this attorney to anyone in the military facing alleged charges. In addition, he helped me with my response to Department of Defense (DoD) Consolidated Adjudications Facility to keep my security clearance. Because of him, I still have my career, dignity, and a fully reinstated security clearance!
Quick lay of the land. I was a Corporal with 5 years experience in the Marines aboard Camp Pendleton, pending legal hold. Steroids were discovered in my room during an official "Health and Comfort" Inspection. I was sent to the Brig for 4 days and given the opportunity by the Marines twice to leave with an OTH Discharge, 60/60 Regimental NJP, and waive my rights to an admin separation board. But I am a fighter, and I said, "No!" My Honorable Discharge was on the line, and virtually everything I had worked for was at stake. So, I contacted Jeff to represent me at a Special Courts Martial, and that's when the fireworks went off. We decided to fire my JAGs, who were could not afford the time and care for my case. Jeff did all of the hard legwork, and submitted our defense in a timely manner before the Motions Hearing. His arguments were masterfully crafted, and held greater respect in the courtroom than the prosecution's lousy responses. I even smiled as the Marine Captain Prosecutor fumbled over his words in nervousness as the judge condescendingly questioned his reasoning as to why I had "No reasonable expectation of privacy." A week later, case was entirely dismissed, and my evidence seized by CID (Laptop and Phone) was promptly returned to me. This criminal defense attorney will fight for you, tooth and nail, to make sure you get a second breath in life and move on to secure your benefits and become a better man. Godspeed, Jeff.
Mr. Carver has been my lawyer for the past 12 years. At that time, the State wanted 7 yrs for the 24 assault rifles I had. Jeff got me off with 6-1/2 months. In addition that was my 3rd weapons charge. Unbelieveable!!! While in custody, my son was born. Mr. Carver had flowers delivered to Mom for me. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and charismatic, Jeff Carver is one of the most down-to-earth people I've met. He fights for every one of his clients. Thank you, Jeff.
When it comes to military defense, two people should come up in the conversation, Mr. Carver and Mr. Bodow. These two bring a straight foward, no-non-sense attitude to table. With Mr. Carvers extensive knowledge of military law he will give you the assistance, advice and will have the other party scratching their heads wondering what happened. I have been asked from the prosecuting Legal Officer who these guys were and where I got them from. So if you want to save your career you NEED them fighting for you! A very grateful sailor, AD2 Aguero
I hired Mr Carver for a NJP case that was handled as efficiently and professionaly as anyone would expect! He is well informed of military law and procedure and cuts thru the fog to hit the target. He is your man.
