I am a foster parent and DCS tried to take the child I cared for away to be placed with an unknown relative. Jeff had great, fresh ideas on how to attack the case. He was able to help me keep the child, and I adopted him. Jeff was responsive to my emails and calls and he truly cared.
I highly recommend Mr. Zurbriggen. Mr. Zurbriggen handled a Native American case for me. I am a foster parent and wanted to adopt the Native American child in my care. He was very well versed in dependency and severance law, and knew every detail of the ICWA laws and guidelines. Despite going up against many people all on one side, and despite being non-Native American, we won and I was able to keep my foster child in my care, so that I could adopt him.
In the world of law it's difficult to find an attorney who has a heart. Let me say that Jeff not only has a heart but he also truly cares about his clients. We used him for a 3 year long severance\adoption case and he did everything possible to make sure we could adopt our darling daughter. His caring responsiveness literally helped me hold it together through one of the hardest times of my life. Most importantly, he SAVED our daughter's life.
CPS came and took my kids, substantiating three allegations. Mr. Zurbriggen was recommended to me by my current family law attorney I had on retainer at the time (quite an endorsement that my own attorney would refer me to Jeff). After writing a succinct letter with documentation, CPS unsubstantiated all three allegations. Honestly, the letter he wrote didn't seem to have much substance, but the proof is in the pudding so to speak. CPS was out of the picture after that. I then went BACK to my family law attorney that had referred me to Jeff. Over a year later, I still have almost 0 parenting time. I fired my old attorney today and will have Jeff on retainer early next week, as he has agreed to take on my case. I'm sure I'll get some better results....Any results beat what I've gotten over the last year. Wish I had hired Zurbriggen years ago, but all I can do is move forward. I'm interested in seeing the way that things unfold over the next year. I'll post again as soon as something does change.
He's a good man, a professional at what he does. I admire and respect him for the work he does in juvenile court. Jeff rescued me from a 13 year nightmare that I thought would never end. Thanks my friend, if ever we see each other again, you'll know it was me that wrote this. Thanks Jeff and say hi to Gina/Jina.
Mr. Zurbriggen helped me with a post divorce modification and got much more than I ever wanted or thought I could get! While working with him, I then realized he also did severances and adoptions, so I used him for that too. He expedited my severance and adoption, and completed the whole process very quickly. I owe my family to Jeff. He is so caring and calm, but is a tiger in the courtroom when needed.
Jeff was just incredible. He handled my divorce so well in that he was able to obtain records I never thought he could. He fully investigated my spouse. He uncovered things about him I never knew! Jeff also handled complex business and investment assets with no problem. He has an MBA which I think very much helped me.
I highly recommend Mr. Zurbriggen He was very caring about not only me and my case, but also my kids. He worked with me on the billing, and was extremely patient. At times he seemed more like a counselor than a lawyer he helped me so much!
Mr. Zurbriggen was the only lawyer I contacted who had a full command of the indian child welfare act. The interplay with federal and state law along with fighting CPS was a lot, but Mr. Zurbriggen guided us through to victory like a chess match. He deeply cared about our family and our case.
I highly recommend Jeff for grandparent's rights cases. I had custody of my grandkids and was going to adopt them. CPS came and took them. Most lawyers were afraid of CPS. But, Jeff took my case and acted right away to fight CPS. We had a trial and Jeff got my grandkids back. He then assisted in the adoption. Without Jeff I know I would not have my grandkids. Hire him immediately, because the sooner the better.
