I have the upmost respect and gratitude for Mr. Winter for his expertise in helping me with a very challenging workman's compensation lawsuit. He and his staff are highly competent and very knowledgeable about navigating the legal system. I was completely cared for and could not have asked for more.
As an overall review of my attorney I'm still UN SURE... Is very hard to find federal work comp attorneys I'm not sure of other attorneys that are in the San Diego area. I believe Mr. Winter happens to know his laws since he's been an attorney for quite some time of 27 some years , he says. On the other hand far as his mannerism , how he treats you as a client is Somewhat Different. My case has gone to trial here recently and I'm waiting to hear the outcome. I've even had some discussions with him and his office of his mannerism towards me and not even having consideration on my feelings I've never had an attorney ask you to leave their office when things get to be questionable on his in on when you're trying to ask a question on what he thinks what will happen more or less, when you tell him that you don't feel welcomed as a client. When you call the office the receptionist seems mopey over the phone wore out and basically seems like you're Bothering them"""". I've tried reaching him for the last two weeks he had not returned my phone call I'm trying to figure out what my status is of this case. And further medical conditions that I've had which are leading to treatments which I have a feeling he may need to know about. I've been denied Social Security no income for 4 years. I was thinking of asking him for a Social Security Attorney but after his mannerism I think I rather look for one of my own. As I walked into the office today to drop off medical paperwork. I asked the receptionist if he was free he came out to the office. I told him if he had a couple minutes I would like to talk to him, he rolled his eyes and I went into his office I told him that I wanted to talk to him behind closed doors .I have a feeling he didn't think this was going to be going very well. I told him that I tried to talk to the receptionist for the last 2 weeks on trying to get in touch with him. He had not returned my call when I confronted him about this he told me don't even come in to the office as a stop by like it was a bother or I was unwelcomed. I do not think that is very professional as a lawyer. I have had a couple of lawyers in the past and I've never seen any mannerism like this. There been two accounts before which we got into arguments because of his Misunderstanding and not letting me give out the information that I wanted to give him on my Medical Conditions. There is also been 2 accounts when he's asked me to leave his office. Once was even two days prior before my trial. I feel when you question ??Mr. Winter and things don't go his way he tends to show you the door . I have an understanding that he did not want to go to trial. If I were looking for an attorney I will be looking for an attorney who makes you feel welcomed, let you know what's going on, sympathy or consideration of your medical and psychological abilities. More or less not leaving you and the dark dark, having to defend for yourself and try to figure out what's going on. Consideration return a phone call and not having to wait 2 weeks or more and having to call again because he hasn't returned your phone call.
