About
Alex Berman has represented injured workers exclusively for more than 30 years and has recovered millions of dollars for his clients. Alex believes that every injured worker deserves to know his or her legal rights in order to receive fair compensation under the law. Alex decided years ago that general practice law firms were not providing the very best legal representation for injured workers. As the founding member of the law firm, he has set the standard for excellence in workers compensation law. Alex always makes himself available to speak with clients and takes whatever time is needed to answer all of their questions. He is known for being a hard working, caring lawyer who will not accept clients being mistreated by the insurance companies that are supposed to protect them. Michigan's workers comp laws have become increasingly stacked against the injured worker, leaving little recourse for even the most steadfast of those injured in the line of work. After over 50 years of suffering a catastrophic workplace injury and of trying to navigate a path to my essential survival, I somehow found The Michigan Worker's Comp Lawyers and Alex Berman with his lifetime of experience in dealing with situations like mine. Mr. Berman has from day one been persistent, accomodating and always available for communication to the point that I often wonder just how he manages to put in such long hours every single day. He's even called me from the doctor's office and he goes out of his way to find solutions that will work. I highly recommend this very honest and reputable firm to anyone seeking help in navigating today's increasingly stressful path towards justice for workers injured in Michigan.
Mr. Berman is an excellent attorney. I had quite a few questions about my situation and Mr Berman didn't hesitate to answer my concerns and when leaving him a message always got back to me promptly
Outstanding from start to finish! I would highly recommend Michigan Workers Comp Lawyers. Mark, Alex, and the rest of team were on top of things from day one. At no time was i left wondering what was going on, they were always prompt with updates and with answers to any questions that I would have. It was a pleasure working with Mark, who was a true professional throughout. I always knew where I stood and always got straight answers. I know that I am in very good hands with Mark and the team. Thanks again!!!
Marilyn Y. Chapin with the Alex Berman Frim meet my expectations in handling my workman's Comp case. She was considerate, attentive listener and she prevailed GREAT JOB!!!!
All I can say is thank you for your remarkable help. Alex Berman and his family survived the holocaust during the German occupation of Poland during WW II. Needless to say if you need guidance and directions how to survive this nightmare talk to him. My advice to anyone being injured on the job seek help trough a professional workman's comp Lawyer. After being injured on the job, you are afraid off losing your job, scared for the future, having a ton of questions, and like me being in pain. If you think for one minute that the company you work for is going to help you, think twice before walking this long road alone. Alex will help you through this difficult process, and regardless the outcome of your injury he will advice U every step on the way. Remember hiring a good lawyer like Alex is not a crime, and although he is not your doctor or councilor, he will be there to protect you against all the legal evil inside corporations and insurance company's. Regards Hans.
Alex is very experienced and kind hearted. After I became injured and contacted him he drove to meet in the next couple of days because i had no way to get to his office. He has been my lawyer for going on 3 years and dealt with every problem I've had. Now we live 4 hours away from eachother but he always answers my calls or gets back to as soon as he can. Over the years we have caught ourselves just talking about life and reminding eachother to get back on track and discuss health and insurance issues. Well after he is not my lawyer I plan on keeping in touch with him. Getting lunch or dinner when we can. I can honestly say it is more than a lawyer-client relationship. He is also a caring friend. Thank you Alex.
Alex Berman is more than an excellent attorney. He is an extremely passionate advocate for injured workers, so much so, that he also spends his time trying to change the strict workers comp laws with the Michigan government. If you want to get him going, talk to him about work comp politics. This was a great reassurance that Alex cares about me, my future and even the future for all injured workers in Michigan. Alex and the attorneys at his firm, especially Jeff Kaufman, did the very best job for me as they could under the law. My case was quite a big case and there was a lot involved. I was an industrial mechanic. I was considered a top employee with this company for over 12 years and I had awards to prove it. My hands got so bad that I could only work with my left hand. HR approached me to send me for testing, and they put me on work comp without giving me a choice. I was as good as fired. It was scary. At that point, I did research online with different attorneys, and I came across the Michigan workers comp lawyers. I called and asked some initial questions and then things got worse at work. I had some nerve testing that lead to carpal in both arms, which ended up to several surgeries. Alex laid out exactly what was going to happen with my lawsuit and what to expect from the existing work comp laws in Michigan. At first I had a hard time believing my company would treat me like this, but when it was all said and done, everything happened at work and with my case as he predicted. I got this valuable advice before even signing on with this law firm. Then I hired Alex, because my employer was trying to do anything they could to try and get me to settle for as cheap as possible. For example, state law says the employer has to send you a check every week, but the company is not fined until the check is six weeks late. So the company would wait until close to that deadline and then send me a check. They were doing this because they know you have to buy groceries and pay rent. You can only sustain that lifestyle until you start to get in trouble. It's very important to have a lawyer on your side that understands what's going on. I think Alex and Jeff were right on top when it comes to that. They also can explain the politics of the law - a lot of people don't know the changes that happened in work comp, since the governor took office. It's very unsettling, because there are not protections for workers. There are protections for the insurance companies, who are running the state. To go into a case like this without an attorney is just foolish. For lack of a better term, I was happy with Alex and Jeff's bedside manner. I was a working man, working 70-80 hours and putting my life on the line. My attorneys were there to support me when I was at my lowest, injured and afraid for my future. They spoke to me with compassion. At a point, I got to know them enough to where I knew stuff that was going on in their families and they understood what was happening with my family. I knew they were working on my case hard. I knew they had my best interest in mind. When I reached out with questions and concerns, they were there. When I would call, even the staff help me immediately no problem. Alex made it comfortable to go to court. He told me what's going to happen and what I needed to do, so I was completely prepared. There wasn't a lot on me anyway, because they already did the work for you, like refusing to accept the initial settlement offers from my employer. They wouldn't let me take less than I was entitled to. In the long run, the settlement they got me as high as possible, and substantial enough so I can position myself to support my family, buy a home and have nice vehicles. I would highly recommend Alex Berman and any attorney at his law firm.
I got hurt at work. I blew my shoulder out and it affected my neck. Once the doctor told work comp that my neck might be involved, they started denying me. I Googled attorneys and Alex had a five star rating so I choose him. After I saw him, it was up and running. Alex has to be the most profound individual I ever met. He took care of me and he handed my case properly. I'm very pleased with the ability of his intelligence. Alex is very good at his job. The communication was especially excellent. Whenever I called, Alex and his team would be there and they had answers. They were very patient in explaining everything I needed to know. I was very pleased with the outcome of the case. Alex is like family to me now. If I could give him more than five stars, I would!
Excellent Workers Comp and Social Security Attorney. He keeps you informed of your case , answers all your questions and returrn your phone calls.promptly.
I was going to try to handle my workers comp case without an attorney, but realized I was going to need one. I got a higher settlement then what I would have gotten without having an attorney. I was very pleased with how my case was handled. Alex Berman was very professional and willing to answer any questions I had. He prepared me for what was coming, and what to expect at my hearing, which really helped make me more comfortable. Dennis Morse was great as well, calling me back promptly and handling issues with my case. I would definitely recommend anyone to Alex and his workers compensation law firm.
