I was assigned to JB Lee Bobbitt by the court for mediation in regards to my divorce and was very disappointed with the process. First and foremost the mediation experience was to say the least very uncomfortable I asked him if there was a conflict of interest between him and the opposing party and said no, but that was the only impression I had for the entire 2 hours I was there (keep in mind I paid for 4 hours he called impasse after 2 hours) all time is documented. The opposing attorney of record was not present I know because he did not sign the paperwork even after the court required for all parties to be advised by these type of changes in advance. I specifically asked him if there was a conflict of interest he said no but it was so obvious because he tried to bully and intimidate me to agree to things and then said the Judge would punish me and the opposing attorney would run over me with his experience (remember he is a neutral mediator). By the rules of a mediator and attorney he should have declined to mediate once I questioned if he had a conflict of interest. I sent him emails and faxes with my concerns with no reply. When I was at court he asked around to see if I was there and then came up to me to bully intimidate me some more and I would be better off letting it go. Attorneys like him undermine the integrity of the court process. I asked him for a refund and he refused.
