I selected Jay Rothman's firm based on a recommendation from a former co-worker who had successfully litigated our former employer. My case had some issues and a former lawyer from his firm had started my case and left in the middle. Jay personally took over my case even though it wasn't a huge one and he got me a fair settlement under the circumstances. He has a dedicated team and is very intimidating in deposition. Understanding that employment cases can take 1 or 2 years to settle depending on how long the court prescribes for case length Jay is aggressive and he gets it done. He is very busy but someone will always answer your questions and address your concerns. You can trust Jay, he has been at this a very long time and he knows his stuff. I highly recommend him.
Jay Rothmam is very firm and direct he is one of the best lawyers to find. He knows ur rights and over all he made me feel protected and safe. Yes they are always bussy but you know be patient. He has experience and Im thankfull for every minute and second of his time!!!!!!! I don't find any thing wrong. I recommend him to people who are goin thrugh this. Its tuff but, don't fight alone and call the office. Jay rothman you are the best!!!!!!!!!
After about 1 year of dragging my case, because he realized that it's a little more complicated than his laziness allows, he submit a motion to withdraw a month before trial. Save yourself from headache, stress, and bad communication. Don't hire him. If I could give him no stars, I would...
I had spoken to several lawyers and honestly this one seemed to be the most honest and sincere which is what prompted me to visit his office and eventually sign a retainer agreement which I thought meant that he would be representing me. Well, let me just say he has done nothing since then. Neither him or his associates return phone calls or e-mails. I understand they are busy but you know these lawyer's have cell phones that receive e-mails in their sleep. For example I e-mailed another attorney yesterday "night," he e-mailed me back in less then 5 minutes. But the excuse I got about 4 months ago when I had attempted to call and e-mail was, "we are very busy and most of the time we are in court so we don't have time to respond to all the e-mails that fast." Well then hey, you should really take out that 24 hour response thing on your website right? I did get a brief update on my case, well just that something was being drafted and that I would get it for review, but that too was 4 months ago. So now as I try to follow up, AGAIN, I this time get no response. Don't waste your time with this firm. From experience it's a waste of time. Although I believe that many attorneys have the same tactics, make sure in dealing with them all that communication is the key to working with people and ensure that you are going to get that when you sign with that firm.
