About
Our firm is located in Tustin, California. We practice family law, which includes all matters related to dissolution of marriage, paternity, custody, support, pre-nups, guardianships, and post-judgment modifications. We handle cases in Orange County, Los Angeles County, San Diego County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County.--- Before practicing law, I attended Tufts University, in Medford, Massachusetts, where I majored in political science. I spent my junior year studying abroad in London, England, where I worked in Parliament as an assistant to the Rt. Hon. Iain Duncan Smith, Member of Parliament. I graduated from Western State University College of Law where I received an academic scholarship. I clerked for Hon. Roy L. Paul, Judge, while he maintained a family law calendar in downtown Los Angeles. I also clerked for Justice Thomas Hollenhorst at the California Court of Appeal. Our firm’s focus is dedicated exclusively family law. I enjoy working with clients to assist them through the difficult divorce process, and I take particular interest in business valuation cases, asset tracing, and custody matters. Our firm's approach is to educate the client about the Family Code as it pertains to the facts of their case, and to be readily accessible at all times. We do our best to resolve issues outside of court, whenever it is possible to save time and money for the client, but we're ready to litigate and aggressively represent our clients in the courtroom when it is necessary. We have an excellent support staff consisting of two highly-qualified and experienced paralegals.

Jason Blonska along with incredible team of professionals truly rock when it comes to handling divorce and support issues in the family law courts. Jason has represented me for the past ten years and without his sage advice I would have been lost and possibly bankrupt. He and his team truly care about their clients and from my perspective when going through a divorce having someone that really knows their stuff is critical.
I recommend Jason Blonska and his firm for anyone going through a tough custody/ divorce in Orange County. I had difficult uphill battle, but with some patience and his firms guidance I ended up with 50/50 custody and no support. His firm works as a team and every one on his staff is extremely responsive. I've already referred my friends/ family to his firm. I hope this helps,
I want to thank Jason Blonska for finally bringing my dissolution to a conclusion, after my previous three attorneys allowed it to be dragged out for three and a half years, charging enormous fees throughout that time. He achieved a settlement that I can live with on our first court appearance with him as my attorney. When my dissolution began, I was facing the complete loss of custody of my very young daughter and significant financial loss as well. None of my previous attorneys seemed to be working diligently on my case and none seemed to be well prepared to argue my case on our numerous court appearances. On some court appearances not much happened and my case was simply continued for another three or four months. Other court appearances resulted in the engagement of fee charging “experts”, an evaluator, a psychiatrist and a parenting coach. There was always a carrot held out, jump through one more hoop and you will likely get more custody. Eventually, I saw a movie entitled “Divorce Corp”, available to see on Netflix or buy from Amazon. This movie opened my eyes to the vulnerability of parents (in child custody disputes) to fleecing by lawyers, evaluators, various parenting experts and an enabling court system. I began looking for an honest lawyer who would finish my case and get me out of this never ending process. Fortunately, a friend of my sister recommended Jason Blonska. He was confronted with my huge pile of documents which had accumulated since my case began and he used them to advantage in preparing for court. Also, Mr. Blonska’s staff was every efficient and a pleasure to deal with. I so appreciate having found him through a recommendation that I am going to pass that recommendation on to all who read this.
I was referred to Jason Blonska in 2009 by a highly respected Superior Court Family Law Judge. I was referred to several highly regarded attorneys in Orange County and decided to retain Jason for a difficult case. The case consisted of the reinstatement of my spousal support in 2014, which was five years beyond the end of the non-modifiable payment obligation in 2009; after my daughter graduated from high school. My Dissolution of Marriage was finalized in 2002, at which time our marital standard of living was high and I was awarded 8 years of spousal and child support which ended in July 2009. I was a stay-at-home mom for 10 years of my long term marriage. I returned to my professional career in 2004 part time to become financially independent. In 2009, I lost my position as a senior executive and my alimony ended simultaneously. This was a very difficult time for me and my daughter. Jason was very sympathetic and provided legal and emotional support to me. He coached me through my job search and made professional contacts on my behalf. He sent my ex-husband a letter asking him to provide financial support to assist me through this period of unemployment. I called Jason on many occasions feeling very anxious due to my stressful job search and financial situation. I was very worried. He continually assured me that I would be okay and that if I could not secure a new position soon, that we would file for a continuation of alimony. He was always available and continually positive and reassuring. I secured a new position in 2010 ----and then in January 2013 my new position and group was eliminated, and I was again unemployed. I was 56 years old at that time and divorced for over 10 years. I aggressively employed all of my resources during this extensive job search for over a year. In March 2014, Jason recommended that he file a Modification of Spousal Support, or a continuation of alimony. My ex-husband, a health care professional, hired one of the most highly regarded law firms in Orange County and retained the firms female founding partner to represent him. He was adamant about providing any additional support payments. I was extremely concerned and anxious about my situation, but Jason reassured me that he would do all he could to get my Spousal Support reinstated. Jason and his staff tirelessly helped me prepare for the court date, and his professional colleague, Shannon R. Thomas worked with me to prepare the supporting documentation for my case. Jason, Shannon and his staff provided unparalleled emotional support and kindness. The full day case was held in Orange County Superior Court. Jason requested the reinstatement of my support payments subsequent to my divorce being finalized for over 10 years, and five years after my support payments ended. The attorney for my husband was one of the best; very intimidating and had over 35 years of family law litigation experience. Jason was calm and polite under pressure. He was extremely prepared and knew my case well. The Judge ruled to reinstate my support payments for one year and the court would continue to retain jurisdiction over my circumstances. The court also awarded me six months of retroactive support payments. The attorney for my ex-husband requested that the court provide no support payments and filed an order to TERMINATE JURISDICTION to award spousal support to petitioner. Jason's professionalism and calm demeanor in presenting my case concisely resulted in the favorable ruling by the Judge. He is also extremely conscientious in all matters. Jason continues to provide support whenever I call and is always reassuring. I would highly recommend Jason and his professional colleagues for any family law matters. He is the best.
Mr. Blonska is a family law specialist. He was recommended to me. He was always 100% honest and always well prepared. He was always fair in his billings. His office was always attentative to my special circumstances. His office was incredible in their followup, scheduling depositions and sorting through large amounts of documents. As you can imagine, it was a stressful time. I knew that they cared about me and my case. I would highly recommend the firm.
Hiring Jason allowed me to go through a very difficult situation feeling that I was not only working with an excellent lawyer but someone that truly cared about the outcome of my divorce and the financial impact I would be responsible for long term. Jason explained every aspect of the divorce in layman's terms and worked hard to be sure that I understood the legal terms and the reasons behind each aspect presented. It has been refreshing to know that when I needed Jason because there was something that concerned me, I could text or email him even on a weekend or in the evenings and I would get a response. There aren't a lot of people that care this much for their clients and I would highly recommend Jason to anyone that has to go through this unfortunate situation.
I was the woman who never wanted a divorce. I was the wife who believed in the "til death do you part-part." I was the non-combative spouse of forty plus years who equated legal action with an ugly untenable aggression. As a result, it took three visits to Jason's office to initiate dissolution of my marriage. Never once in those multiple "trial runs" did Jason ever make me feel stupid or annoying or delusional about what this process could look like. He politely and patiently answered my questions and began to plant a seed of confidence in his law firm that would eventually act as my advocate. Jason was referred to me by a very successful CPA in Orange County who knew of him through other court proceedings. He spoke of the respect that other professionals held for Jason. My experience only confirmed that opinion. Top Ten Reasons to Retain The Blonska Firm ~Attention to detail. ~Intelligent analysts and smart writers. ~Knows when to be tough and when to compromise. ~Attentive listeners. ~Digest reams of information quickly and accurately. ~Excellent support staff. ~Respected by family law judges (my judge stated so). ~Help separate emotion decisions from better logical ones. ~Instill confidence in court by their prep and demeanor. Fearless and OK with a fight if necessary. ~Respond to emails immediately. Jason and I worked together with associate Jeff Wasserman, who was excellent in every way and totally reflected the high standards of Jason's firm. Jeff's forte was his quick witted ability to size up a situation, apply it to the law, and communicate it back to me in a way that I could understand. Brainstorming with Jeff was one of the most effective ways that I processed this divorce successfully. I always felt "heard," but also gained wise guidance for the best result for me. The end of my divorce left me stronger and clearer about what the legal process allowed for someone in my situation. I am grateful for Jason, Jeff and his staff.
Jason is an exceptional attorney! He knows the law inside and out, sees the big perspective without losing track of the details. He is respectful, kind, honest and will "take the bull by the horns." He cross- examined an expert witness so well, that the witness came and asked for his card afterwards because he had never been "so worked on the stand." I felt confident in his abilities and that he truly had my best interest in mind. He respected my wishes and diligently fought for what I asked and WON!!! And on top of that all, he has a wonderful sense of humor in all the difficult moments.
Jason is a very capable family law attorney who I have worked with over a 4+ year span over several family law related issues and court cases related to child support, custody and palimony. Despite a very hostile opposing party and attorney(s), Jason was able to handle the cases effectively and provide positive verdicts, or at the very least an acceptable settlement. No matter how stressful the situation, Jason was calm, polite, very knowledgeable, accommodating and very pleasant and friendly to work with. I highly recommend him.
Going through divorce and a child custody case is never easy. I couldn't have done it without Jason. He was outstanding and I really felt that he was there for me every step of the way. He really helped my and my children's future and I am at peace today as a result of his efforts.
