About
Jason N. Argos was born at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. In 2000, his family moved to Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Mesa Red Mountain High School in 2004 and thereafter followed in his mother’s footsteps and attended The University of Arizona. During his freshman year at Arizona, Mr. Argos walked onto the football team as a Quarterback. In 2008, he graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Following graduation, he moved back to Southern California and earned his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego - graduating a semester early. Prior to his 25th birthday, Mr. Argos graduated from law school, passed the California Bar Examination and got engaged to his wife, Erica Argos.Mr. Argos joins the Law Offices of Sean M. Burke, APC from Sedgwick, LLP, a national trial firm with 300+ lawyers working on a variety of litigation matters across the country. Prior to working at Sedgwick, Mr. Argos spent his first five years of practice working for an established civil litigation trial firm in Manhattan Beach, where he defended multiple medical malpractice cases and had hands-on case responsibility and direct client contact from pleading stage to trial. He has served as the lead attorney on over 150 depositions, including expert witness depositions. Mr. Argos is skilled at preparing for and administering successful trials and arbitrations for his clients. Before graduating from law school, Mr. Argos was a certified legal intern for the Appeals, Writs and Trials Division of the California State Attorney General’s Office, where he conducted extensive legal research and wrote appellate briefs for the Fourth Appellate District. He also performed five oral arguments in the Fourth District of the California Courts of Appeal. Prior to the Attorney General’s Office, Mr. Argos worked as a legal intern for the Tort Litigation Division of the Office of the County Counsel for San Diego County, where he assisted with compliance, discovery and oral argument preparation for Ninth Circuit hearings.Affiliations, Activities and AccomplishmentsMr. Argos has been designated as a Southern California Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for four consecutive years. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of California.On May 13, 2017, Mr. Argos graduated from the Orange County Bar Association’s esteemed College of Trial Advocacy (COTA). This was the OCBA’s 39th year hosting this comprehensive trial advocacy program, which runs from early April until the end of May.Mr. Argos is also a proud member of the following organizations: Consumer Attorneys of California, Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, Orange County Trial Lawyers Association and the Orange County Bar Association. Currently, Mr. Argos is the Southern California Chair of the Diversity sub-committee for the Consumer Attorneys of California’s Membership committee. He also served on the Executive Committee for the Personal Injury section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association for four years.While in law school, Mr. Argos was on the dean’s list and served as the President of the Moot Court Honor Society.
