I had hired Mrs Baldwin in June of 2019 for a Grandparents Rights case. I knew from the beginning that it wouldn’t be a easy case. The first court appearance (which I knew nothing about) she didn’t even show up almost getting the case dismissed. I was the one always having to find out what was going on. We had mediation through zoom on April 2nd, for 3 hrs. When I got my final bill I was charged for 4 hours causing me to owe her more money. I did call and this was corrected. If I ever need a lawyer in the future I will definitely look elsewhere.

Her office is disorganized and she would state that she had filed documents with the courts but I later find out that she that was not truthful and when documents were file there were mistakes in the documents which was found out when the court informed me of he mistakes and if not corrected my case would be dismissed.

I hired Janice for a child support case. Everything has been incorrect from start to finish. I am so unbelievably unhappy with this whole situation. For my final hearing she did not make sure that the opposing party filled out everything on his end for the judge to sign off on it. That took over two hours for me to get a hold of the other party (because he was at work) and to make sure he understood why he was having to fill out something else. NOW the kicker is I received the child support document that goes to his employer the company name was correctly spelled on two pages, but on the 3rd page it was completely misspelled. I hired her close to a year ago. My son still has not received one single child support payment. It's not for his fathers lack of trying, but for Janice's lack of ethics. The child support agency cannot take a payment from him, because our "case" does not exist on their end due to all the mess ups. She has also charged me for her mess up in court the $600.00+ for her not getting paperwork filled out and also the wording was not acceptable to the judge. Now I am going to have to pay her an additional $300.00+ to fix her mess up?! I am not at all happy with this attorney. I will be reporting her to the board for this. I find this unacceptable.

Have been trying to finalize refund of my retainer with her for over a year. Billing is incorrect, charging for work her assistant should have been doing, billing for emails and texts not returned, and so on. Filing complaint with Bar.

This woman doesn't return phone calls, emails or texts. Is now charging for emails that weren't billed before. Incorrectly submitted documents to the court & was told it was wrong & now has to be resubmitted. Her fees keep going up for doing nothing. Would not recommend her.

She has us show up for court once, when we did not have to be there, Amicus and opposing counsel as well as the court clerk knew we did not have to be there, however she is still trying to charge me for that time, even know it was her fault. Had us show up for court another time, that the court date was moved. Did not respond to a multitude or emails and texts, but is trying to charge me for them, when she can't even prove she read them. Seemed to be more reactive, then proactive, and we were the plantiff. I have filed a complaint with CAAP, she told them last year she was going to settle with me, and never did. Now going to have to file another complaint with CAAP to try and get the rest of my legitimate retainer money back. Would never hire her again and never refer her to anyone.
