Janet worked on Will for us and she did a great job. I also want to say that Janet has a great personality, down to earth & explains everything so well! Thank you Janet, can’t believe I had so much fun signing paper for a Will!
Janet went above and beyond to help me. When my life was falling apart in front of my eyes she knew exactly how to pick it up and put it back together. Janet made me feel safe and calm. She represented me amazing and I could not ask for a better lawyer. Thank you for all you did for me and my kids.
I retained Janet after I lost my job then suffered a medical emergency with no health insurance. I met with her and immediately felt confident she would take great care of me and my family. I was impressed at just how much she knows about bankruptcy law and other areas that could affect my case. She explained what options I had and what was best for me and my family. When we went to court, I impressed by how respected she was by the trustee and other attorneys. I noticed that my case took about 5 minutes in front of the trustee while other attorneys’ cases took much longer. This was because Janet was so prepared. She and Amy made sure I was prepared too. I gathered all my documents and read and reviewed everything before it was filed. Janet told me I had nothing to worry about and she was right. It couldn’t have gone any smoother. Even though filing bankruptcy is embarrassing, I have referred a few friends to Janet who I knew she could help. They loved her too. I HIGHLY recommend her. She’s the best!
I had a very complicated business case and was getting divorced at the time. I chose Janet because she is very experienced in both areas of law. No surprises. She explained everything in a way I could understand. She even told me before stuff happened. She was prepared and she made sure I was too.
I was very happy with the representation Janet gave me. She came highly recommended by a friend and she did not disappoint. I had a very complicated case and she was very thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I am so happy my friend referred me to Janet Ziulkowski and her firm. She took care of all of my needs and then some. I've referred her to several friends and they feel the same as I do. Thank you Janet. I can't tell you how much I appreciate everything you have done for me and my family.
Janet is exceptionally passionate about helping those in need. Many of my clients are indigent and on the verge of homelessness, and if they have questions about bankruptcy law, I always refer them to Janet. My clients have told me how helpful, knowledgeable, and caring she is; they feel comfortable talking to her about their finances and all of their options for relief and a fresh start. Janet can often be found volunteering her time giving pro bono legal advice to people in our community who really need guidance. Her passion to help others is contagious and commendable. I would highly recommend Janet Ziulkowski to anyone in need of advice regarding a bankruptcy or family law matter.
My husband and I interviewed several lawyers to handle our bankruptcy case. We wanted the best and we found her. Janet thoroughly reviewed our information and gave us sound advice. Both she and her staff were very responsive to our questions and concerns. She even helped us with our mortgage modification when the mortgage company refused to honor it. She made them stand by their agreement. She saved our home and our future. I have referred her to several friends and they have all been very happy with her services.
My husband and I went to Sterling Bankruptcy because we were desperate for advice and confused about our situation. I saw a commercial for the practice and decided to call for an appointment. We met with Janet and immediatly felt connected with her over the other lawyers we talked with. She was caring and professional at the same time. Our bankruptcy went smoothly but unfortunatly a year later we were back in her office facing a foreclosure because of job loss. Janet had told us to walk away from our home during the bankruptcy, but we went against her advice and kept it. I wish now we would have listened. When we ended back at her office we were once agian given solid advice. We feel that Janet has given us a second chance, and hope that after the foreclosure is finished we will be able to move on in the next step of our life.
From the beginning of the divorce case she represented me on, everything was a struggle. What started off to be a very amicable situation between my former husband and I, turned into a full-blown fight because she was more interested in putting in unnecessary research than to just do what I wanted. Her interest in how she was perceived by her peers far outweighed how well she performed in doing what her client needed and wanted.
I should have read the reviews and Fine print. What started off as amicable in my case quickly became a personal battle between lawyers dragging out the case. Unfortunately I was left paying the price. Literally! Then after 4 month with almost no contact I received a bill 4 times that of my retainer that was in place. I had to ask for an itemized list to find out why the bill was so, high. She refused to discuss the charges such as late fees, interest, and for documents I filed myself. Most of the bill contained time she was fighting with opposing counsel, and discussions as to why my case was dropped and my child support calculations being incorrect (missing my numbers). Still refusing to explain, Janet then reduced the bill a percentage, and I reluctantly payed with-in 3 business days. Only to find out she had already put a lean on my house in March (during Covid lockdown) and now refuses to remove the lean. I am just a single father trying to take care of my daughter. 10 k is a lot of money to me, and I still have to find another lawyer to finish my case, and fix her errors. I am now being threatened with late night text, personal emails, and legal action to remove my opinion. I don’t like to say negative things about people , however it is important to help other people to avoid making the same mistakes I did.
