Divorce was the hardest thing I've been through and Janani took so much stress away. She always had my best interest at heart. She always had time for me and was very responsive. She is extremely knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to make sure I understood what was going on and what certain decisions would mean. I could not have done it without her. I definitely recommend Janani.
Navigating a divorce is an emotional and difficult time to say the least. I was glad I had Janani at my side through the process. She is the perfect combination of intellect, sass and compassion. She helped me weigh the options, put a realistic offer together and navigate the process all the way through. She was a champion for me and my outcomes and willing to fight, but also did a great job keeping me realistic with the potential outcomes balancing the value of hours/resources required to keep her overall fees down.
Janani was incredible. She had her case law down and was more informed than any other attorney I know in that area of law. As an attorney myself (practicing in another area of law), I am pretty demanding and am easily irritated with someone charging me for mediocre or sloppy work I could do better myself. In fact, I fired my first family law attorney for just that and was starting to lose hope on finding someone that met my standards. My initial meeting with Janani fixed all that. She clearly and concisely explained to me the strengths and weaknesses of my case (which included a number of complex issues) and what I could/should do to improve the latter. I highly recommend her to anyone and only wish I had found her sooner in the process than I did.
I had hired another attorney who left the firm and was passed over to Janani. Best thing that ever happened to an otherwise horrible situation. Janani was so sharp she was leagues ahead of opposing counsel. She had more avenues of approach than I thought possible and truly left them stumped. My ex thought that by retaining counsel she would automatically clean me out. What she left with was worse than our previous handshake agreement we came up with during our separation. We did end up settling for our divorce, but I actually would have loved to have gone to trial and watch the magic of this attorney. Truly the top of her profession. I am always listening for someone considering divorce because they truly don’t know what they are exposed to until it happens. One thing for sure though, I will always recommend Janani so they can protect themselves from the evils that be.
I hired Janani to represent me in my potential divorce. While I didn't end up moving forward, she was very supportive, acting decisively and with urgency where warranted, and gave me expert advice. I would definitely recommend her.
Overall the firm of Minyard Morris was wonderful and so professional. Specifically my attorney Janani Rana was awesome. She was so detailed, precise, punctual, empathetic, and confident. She communicated concepts so well and really exhuded a great command of the law. She was great at explaining the process, explaining the law, while at the same time not inundating me with excess details. She continually worked in a manner that showed an emphasis on resolution while at the same time prioritizing the health & benefit of my son. She was assertive and staunch on certain necessary issues while suggesting compromise in other areas. I would trust her wholeheartedly! I would refer her to anyone. Janani was the consummate professional but also emotionally was so so supportive.
Death, and Taxes...and Divorce. 3 of the most difficult things we face in life. You hope you have a great Doctor, Accountant and Attorney to help with these major life stressors. I was lucky. I found exceptionally bright, empathetic, and caring people. Janani Rana was one of them. She listened to me. More importantly, she heard what I was saying and what I needed. She was in my corner the whole time. The stress from the divorce was almost unbearable, but because of Janani, I felt I would be O.K. I've dealt with Attorney's over the years, I have several family members who are Attorney's so you can believe me when I say if I've met someone who knows their job, looks out for your best interests, and is by your side the entire time....then you've found the right Attorney. Minyard Morris, LLP is a business. Like any other business. But, they look out for you and take care of you. They knew my budget. They never exceeded it. They kept their costs under control. They worked with me every step of the way. I'm not sure how many other firms look at you like a person, and not a check book. You won't go wrong with Minyard Morris, and you definitely won't go wrong with Janani Rana. Rob W.
Hello, I hired Ms Rana for my divorce. I was continually correcting her documents, including court documents (e.g. date of marriage incorrect by 10 years, not in my favor. Amount of spousal support incorrect, in favor of my husband) . I was also lead to believe that I should be receiving more spousal support than the Orange County Courts would ever typically grant. So I was mislead into filing an RFO to request more temporary spousal support than the courts would ever typically grant. I was then over charged for all of the related emails, changes, filings, etc. My bill was over $10,000 relating to one simple RFO filed. I tried to get my funds reimbursed by Minyard Morris, and I sent them all of my supporting documentation but I was continually told the information and emails I supplied was not enough information to support my reimbursement request. There was no winning with Mr Minyard. He screamed at me on the phone and treated me so very rudely. So, I decided to help others in my situation (first time divorce, in a long term marriage) and warn others about how Minyard Morris and Ms. Rana make their fees and how poorly they treat their clients, especially clients who are not wealthy. If you don't have money to burn, don't hire Minyard Morris.
